  • bought my home for 385k in 2006..... now its worth 190k....and dropping...... i got small mortgages through the years as we moved from house to house.... banks gave us loans and i wasnt even working...... no joke..... I'm in a mortgage for 35 years and thankfully i owe nothing now otherwise id burn down my house if i owed that amount.... would do prison rather than pay it......so those out there who are caught tell the banks to f off....its there fault..

  • Economic terrorism by the bankers

  • banks making bad loans... they have orders fromk top to loan, and charge interest rates even low... lowest they will suck up all the money because they loan 10 times more then they actually have... this system is called slavery... its like i have 20 euros and loan 200 and charge interest on them... but the people i loan to never see the cash, comes to a time there isnt physical money in circulation to pay me... bankrupcy!!!tell me what does this do with the people?country~~'?

  • Like a f*&^%king idiot, I came here in 1997, country of my birth. I grew up up in South Africa. Worked in London. Don't know where I'll be in the next few years, but I don't intend on staying here to die .

What possessed that American woman to emigrate to Ireland, was it because Chernobyl is still closed?

  • @graham640

    Good point.

From what Ive read, Ireland has only enough money until March 2011.

I cant understand how the whole of Ireland never smelt a rat when they saw an economy built on dinky software and bricks and mortar-monoply money house prices. A house in Cork the same price as a house in the Loire Valley?

Maybe becuase Irish people born in the late 70s never had to go to England/USA to work and live and experience other governments/economies.

    I dont know.

  • @capetown99 Lots of people did smell the Rat, but the powers that be, just wouldn't listen, didn't want to listen, didn't care. This recession will be one of the best things to ever happen to the country in the long run :( sad but through.

  • @capetown99 or...because they are all stooopid

  • @graham640

They will because if I lose any of my savings I will fucking shoot them all :-)

  • Search Youtube 'Fred Harrison' -> . The problem How to fix it The solution . Tax the "value" of land - not the buildings on it. No income tax. Hong Kong and Singapore use land valuation tax. We currently: Socialise private incomes - wages & salaries by income tax Privatise socially incomes - land values are kept by the occupier . Needs reversing Privatise private incomes - wages and salaries - No income tax Socialise social incomes - land - Tax land values. Community reclaims values it created
  • Ireland won't go forward till they paid off their bills (debt). If I were Irish in Ireland, i would look for a job in Asia or Latin America.

  • one.

  • okeefet01 sur what world are you livin in at all you sound like one of thoes bent politicians. Truth is we never had any money only credit and our education never meant a thing it was our low tax that invited the same crowd that are leaving now in their droves for cheaper slaves in the east. we are hard workers and even harder drinkers and we have shown the world we are as crooked as they come. Truth is "We are fucked" . Maybe next time around in about 200 years we will have more sense.

  • Great, we've had the crash. Let's learn the lessons (we made great wealth through leveraging in growth assets, we are popular destination for information economy investments because of our education, we had inadequate and unfocussed regulation, we're hard workers and good communicators). We tasted the income levels of Dubai and Switzerland and want to return to that. Let's dust ourselves off and get on with it.
