@ydneah13 Sorry, I meant that a horror game needs to be both gruesome and psychological. For me, the lack of music and distant echoes of the surroundings are very brooding and make me slightly unnerved to carry on. The gruesome death animations are there for a sudden kick of "holy hell!" moments, which add to the psychological elements to make you that much more tentative of your surroundings... I'm really not good at explaining what I mean, but I hope this makes sense ^_^
