  • is the lamanites ancient maya? mormon beliefs..

  • @Creolebway - Some people believe that the Lamanites and the Nephites were indigenous to the America's; but others believe that thay were not. Whether or not they existed at all is the subject of much debate. The Book of Mormon has its own description of them, which I am not qualified to comment on, since I am not a Mormon.

  • @hikefordays

So I'm just hearing about this project but for the last year I have been fascinated

by our modern day discoveries of ancient civilizations. There is so much we have yet to learn.

I'm hoping my first trip will be to visit Puma Punku in May of this year.

  • pretty cool

  • Very good work. Are you guys film students? Can I go with you next time?

  • Wow! nicely done! This could almost be on the History channel.

  • Awesome video! I heard that El Mirador is remote, but this video gave me a true sense of what to expect when I eventually get the courage to try it. Thanks for posting.

  • I loved the footage, but the only way it would take active people three days, part of which was on a sacbe, to get to El Mirador would be to go via Nakbe, but this was only mentioned later and in passing. The quickest route to El Mirador is via El Tintal and La Florida is what you would normally pass through between Nakbe and Carmelita.

    Still, it is enjoyable.

  • Pretty cool video. Looks like a couple of guys with a home cam did a good job.
