This is funny I looked up 1911 torture test and this is what came up. Wow no wonder the army switched to the beretta 92fs when i was in the army we shot way more than 1000 rounds of ammo a day and never had overheating problems. The beretta worked fine in sandstorms snow storms and anything else. I can't believe people actually think 1911's would be a great service pistol again it is a nice show gun though fun to shoot too, but not war worthy. Support your troops and their sidearm.

I was in the military I served for 4 years and I have shot terrorists with both the .45 and the 9mm and you know what I found they both get the job done with a single bullet and you will find that it's all shot placement no matter what bullet you use. I've shot someone in the belly with a .45 and he still lived chest or head they're dead and they don't get knocked back that's a myth.

In the military they us the new beretta px4 storm in some divisions it's chambered for .45 and the HK USP. Our m4 jams up like a son of a gun when sand storms come rolling in so we use our sidearms 40% of the time. The .45 bullet can't go far enough on the desert dunes these terrorists like to stay far away and sometimes there's no cover for 100's of yards. I don't know about your pigs but people die pretty quick with either round in the head and chest and i like having 15-20 mags.
