How does this amp work as a bedroom/apartment amp? Would I be better off getting a v5 instead? I'm OK with the v5 but would like the versatility of playing in a bedroom and also at a gig or jam session with a v22 if possible, thanks
@EverythingRockGuitar Good to know, thanks for the response!! Have you tried to v5 at all? I'm curious how the tone compares to the v22. Again, THANK YOU for the reply
@clintmiller23 No, to be honest I haven't tried the V5.I've heard from some it's garbage, and from others it's treasure, but the same could be said about the V22's reputation.
this seems like a really wide area amp (like you can play many different styles) like rock, clean, heavy and its still only 244€ i wonder if i should get it, it sure as hell does sound a lot better than my 15W peavey vypyr
I really like your review (its really well rounded) .I ordered this amp(still waiting). The clean channel is perfect. The drive channel sounds pretty enough for my style. I wanna ask you
1) what mode is the amp on this demo (triode or pentiode?)
2)Do you have the boost on (when you play overdrive)?
3)The guitar is plugged in the ''normal'' or the ''bright'' input?
@jlhyz2 what kind of guitar is it? my strat's got a Jb & Jazz set in it, with an stk in the middle, and it sounds best on normal, but a les paulish guitar might be a tad batter on bright.
@bobmango54 It's more like a Vox really, good clean tones and a nice overdrive, the windsor has to have different preamp tubes to get a clean sound, but , yeah, it really beats it. the bugera is top notch.
@SRV1DOORS1HENDRIX1 Yeah, it's a really good amp in my opinion, It has a lot better tone in person than on this clip. I showed it to my guitar teacher, who plays for Jake Owen, and he thought it was great, and compared it with a Matchless, I thought that was more than enough professional opinion for me. I love it.As long as you don't play death metal with it, I would certainly recommend you at LEAST give it a test drive in a shop. Thanks for watching!

@clintmiller23 it has a master volume and a triode setting that cuts the volume in half, the tone stays generally good all around. thanks!!

Hello,
I live in Holland and have a small question.
If you connect an external speaker at the V22 will the internal speaker then be shut off, or do they play simultanously?
Regards,
henk

@HenkDynacord no, they play simultaneously

@LordGoumis 1.) triode, I love the squishy compressed feel it seems to have.
2.) no boost, I'm not particularly fond of the boos feature, love everything else though.
3.) this guitar is in the normal input, I hardly ever use the bright, thatks for viewing!

@EverythingRockGuitar What do you think Humbuckers would sound best in. the Bright or Normal channel. I'm playin Blues and Classic Rock

No, I wanted to, but mics are expensive. This camera doesn't color the sound, but it doesn't exactly record in the highest quality either. Thanks.

Sounds nice. Did you have the amp miked?
