i have over 20 rabbits at the moment, i raise them for meat and ive been at this for close to 5 years, i raise mine colony style like many do in european countries and russia, its the best system ive discovered how are yours raised i cant tell from how this video was shot. keep up the good work though.

but its time for an out door pen there,or a large grassy yard or feild to run and graze in.save some money on food,and effort on cleaning,and let them roam.fill your freezer,and make some earmuffs and hats,and do it as cheaply as possible.they like clovers and grasses.let them roam and eat freely.happy livestock makes tastier,cleaner and guilt free meat!

The reality is all these complainers don't know where their own food comes from, they don't make it at the grocery store, I hate to tell you, that's not where it comes from. I prefer to raise as much of my own food as a can because I know it came from a quality animal that lived a good life and was killed humanely.

awe poor babies : (. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind cooking a wild rabbit but I couldn't do that to a tame one. It would be like eating a cat to me, especially since I own a bunny who sleeps with me and everything. I actually got my baby from a person who was raising them like this to sell for food, most of them ended up dying because of their terrible overcrowded living conditions, and it makes me sad when I see them stuck outside in a small cage. I've heard that tame rabbit meat isn't good.

If you want to think it's cruel to kill a rabbit, then it's cruel to kill a chicken. Rabbits are common meals, maybe not for you but for other people so don't get your panties in a knot and claim rabbit-eaters to be cruel. Also, how much meat do you think comes from a CHICKEN? Rabbits yield just as much, if not more, meat than a chicken does.

They do the same thing with chickens, like McDonalds ranches mass-breed them in thousands of cages and they don't move their entire lives to plump them up and then butcher them. I'm sure the person who is breeding these rabbits aren't looking at them as "pets". Rabbits can be pets but they aren't nearly as domesticated as dogs. They're on the borderline where people /can/ keep them as pets but they can live in the wild without our help, too.

@Takaraxv Except that white rabbit cannot survive out on there own. There is NO such thing as a wild white rabbit. Wild rabbits are brown. But yes people do breed them for meat, use them as test bunnies and skin them for their fur. Its pretty gross, and as seen in the video they are over stocked and walking on a wire cage which causes them sores on their feet.

The best thing for you to do depending if you are in the U.S. Rabbit rescues are everywhere, just do a search via internet. If u find one close to u take your bun & your bunny can actually pick out one or u can and they will bond your bun for FREE.
