2: it all depends. if you're a big traveler and you like compact things with great power, then go for the 11". if you're a student or a youtuber, or just like things with pretty good size, and also like excellent speed and power, and use an SD card, the 13" is for you.

I mean it's thin and transportable, but you have to consider the fact that you have to carry around a disc drive and you'll probably want more USB ports as well.

Plust there are a lot of people who still prefer to have physical copies of media e.g. CDs, DVDs. I definitely prefer to have physical copies of CDs and rip them onto iTunes, and I know I'm not alone. And no, I'm not 65, I'm 15.
