  • ahh.... I remember the days crashing a 450. Those were forgiving days as it's so cheap to fix. A 700 crash suddenly seem to cost as much as a 450 :)

  • those rolls were nice!...hope your flying again...good job.

  • micro burst down ward wind you can hear it in the sound. I have had the same thing happen with close calls before.

  • :)

  • man, lost orientation? looks like neg pitch and wrong nick!? keep it going!!!

  • Should place gyro underneath boom mount. It's less likely to be struck be Paddles or blades in a crash. I've knackered a GY 401 in the same way as this guy. Bad luck though. Shit happens. lol

  • is it gonna affect the helicopter if i put the gyro under the boom mount? can u tell me cause im a noob here

  • lol. back to the drawing boards....

  • lol... he was probably thinking he was flying nose in cuz he steered more down...

    anyway, I don't speak spanish... so I don't know :P

  • what they observed is that one of the paddles came loose and hit the gyro.

  • This is a strange crash. It looks like the pilot had plenty of time to recover and just didn't. Through most of the crash, all the pilot had to do was add throttle/pitch. Either he didn't, or he did and it didn't happen.

And if he tried to add pitch/throttle and it didn't happen. why didn't he attempt an auto?

I'm guessing either the pilot failed to correct or slipped off the remote, the RC link was lost, or power was lost on the model.

  • it's more like he lost orientation or lost control and panicked

  • all good comments and observation...was he not use to idleup..maybe he forgot he was and put stick allthe waydown? i dont know but seems like he did not try to revover did'nt he

  • R.I.P

  • file the bottom of the frame and put the gyro underneath on the boom clamp

save braking it and there not cheep

-11 -5 0 +5 +11, Throttle(Iddle Up On): 100 95 85 95 100, sin ningún problema. Saludos.

  • I like how he's like "oooh.." after the crash at 0:50 and the slow- mo version 1:22

  • Sorry guys, but doesn't seem that the paddle had hit the gyro. If this was the problem the model would spin like crazy...

What seams is that the pilot got lost during the manouver... but that's only my opinion.

  • dumb ass, the paddle hit the gryo in the crash, it shows it clear as day.

  • The paddle twisted during his maneuver...

  • well, i still think it wasn't a gyro hit. I have it mounted at te same poition on mt 450 and it was never hited by the paddles even with a far agressive fight than this.

The gyro was hitten in the crash.

  • ok gracias

  • I'm starting out so is gyro location important or can it be placed anywhere?

  • sorry man, you should place the gyro underneath the next time

  • Tell me why, we add vibration to the gyro due the motor,,,,

  • unlucky
