  • Who Virgil u r so lucky. I went to a catholic school in an all white town, and I live in a bock town. So of course I had mostly white friends. So yea I feel out of place especially when they ask questions or assume sterotypes like I'm good at basketball on drugs a 13 year old father don't know my dad. But what really makes me feel like an alien is when they actually try to act black, either gangster or African.cuts just insultin

  • i'm pretty sure that weight he was feeling was fighting mutated weirdos daily

  • "There are black people everywhere!"

    "Dude, you're in Africa"

    Love that quote

  • ironically it's black history month.

  • Is it bad I learned more from my roots from this show than anywhere else?

  • nice the africa

  • At 2:11, the luggage carousel stops entirely when he gets the bags off of it.

  • Sharon: someone was paying attention when daddy was talking about boring stuff. Dad: hah thats right.. HEY

  • 3:34 Now if only the black people in America would and could think this way. Sadly I don't believe the day of our revolution will come any time soon

  • knock knock, who's there, African, African who, African kill you!!!!

  • Smokinblaze ur right

  • 'pan africanism' the belive that black people have some mistic connection that no other race could possibly share (blacks are better than everyone else). Sounds like the same sort of logic the KKK uses to me. Why can't we be people?

  • @pcgamernum1 Clearly missed the point. Only the extremists warp the term to make it seem so hateful. The message of Pan Africanism is basically for all people of African Ancestry to become united through our roots, which lie in Africa. It's not to unify to think with a superiority complex.

  • @smokintheblaze Nice excuse but it fails the logic test. So only black people have this connection to their 'home land'? I mean at least the irish KNOW they think they're better than everyone else with their Irish pride and going to the home land. :P Unlike those who want to pretend they have some magic bond that no other race could possibly have. Did that bond help when Africans sold Africans to whites? Some historic bond. Africans americans are as much african as I am.(Notatall

  • @smokintheblaze I'm not saying you can't be proud of those that came before you, but you need no made up connection that you don't ahve to do it. I'm proud of my german roots (We came to the US prior to the NAZIs so WOO) I'm proud of my Native American Roots. But I've been to germany, I have no mistic connection their, or here. (Dispite my mom swearing that several people saw an Indian Cheif above my crib... I think they drank to much :D )

  • @smokintheblaze FURTHER MORE shouldn't people as a whole strive to unite? Why should blacks unite alone? That kind of thinking is the same reason that we have people TODAY who just sit in their own little colored sections at schools. Not because they don't have black or white or hispanic friends, but because they want to 'unite' with people of their 'own kind'. Guess what? Theres only two kinds of people. Good and bad. Right and wrong. Strong and weak.

  • @pcgamernum1 While Pan Africanism does follow the basis of unification, it doesn't mean that we're to turn a blind eye to anyone else of another race. For this to be thought of as the reason why we stick to ourselves is illogical. Equality is something we all would want.

People tend to turn to those who they may feel they have more in common with. I'm Black, and proud of it. But if someone, regardless of race, is into the same things that I'm into, then we're cool. (continuation.)

  • @pcgamernum1 But I do not want wish to have this conversation on a page such as this, as they may bring much unwanted attention to the both of us. But I'm happy that you found that joke on my page funny. Did you happen to read what I put at the very bottom about equality?

  • wasnt richie's backpack holding the villain agains the wall in the theme song 0:45

  • one thing that annoys me is that there are tigers just not where they were the tigers are in the rain forests of southern Africa where less kingdoms and countries were. p.s most africans were kidnapped to europe and the americas though the west coast of africa reading copper sun for class project really into it.

  • Thumbs up if you thought there were tigers in Africa.

  • 1:45 wish I could do that when parents lecture me XD

  • You know, I think I'll greet everyone I meet in Germany with "Perhaps we are distant cousins. You never know." when I go there.

  • 4:39 Irish drinking joke

  • Is tht the black panther?!

  • @FBGUY4444 Nope. Completely different Universe. That's Anasi the Spider.

  • 2:31

Does anyone else get the impression that Richard expresses this sentiment everywhere throughout the ENTIRE trip!

"Oh, children! Just look at it!"

"Uh, Pops? This is a public bathroom."

"Yes, but it's a bathroom in Africa!"

  • @Undkor If you're referring to his dad, his name is Robert, not Richard.

  • How does no 1 C that in an AIRPORT???!!!

  • This is my fav episode cuz it takes place in Ghana my country wuts good with tht Ghana Swagg

  • "Yes, But it's a airport in / Africa /." u tell um, dad.

  • The cat is gay

  • Dude there are black people everywhere! Yeah, dude, you're in africa

    lolz

  • they says its called trotro but at 2:57 its still says taxi on the sign xD

  • deadass in africa u just a kid in america u a black kid a spanish kid or other race kid

  • anyone notice that everybody wear the same clothes everyday? lol

  • how come in the last episode his disk was smaller when folded?

  • how exctly did virgil get past security with th atmetal thing

  • I'd understand the whole "When I'm in Africa, I'm not the black kid" thing if the cast was white. So far, I've seen ONE white person on this show, and that's Ritchie. Everyone else is... not white.

  • @7MukuroRealm Some of the teachers, Hot Streak, Alva, Alva's son, the kid that brought the gun to school, Batman & Alfred. Superman & The Justice League appear in later episodes, it's not like the show is all blacked out, of course Static's family is gonna be black, but their are plenty of white ppl on the show. But Virgil do sound a little racist with what he's saying to Richie though "I love it here, everyone's black lol"

  • @7MukuroRealm Did you listen to a word he said? He said when he's in Africa, he's not the ONLY black kid.

  • "There are so many black people!"

wow virgal that doesn't sound racist at all. :p

  • @LadyCheesyHooves its not racist dumbass

  • @LadyCheesyHooves If you were black, maybe you'd understand

  • Lol I imagine in this cartoon universe, you can tell who's from Dakota when stuff like this happens.

"Oh no! What is that? Everybody run! Ah!"

People from Dakota: "Meh. Seen it."

  • This Show Has So Many Refernces Only Blakc People Would Get

  • "But it's an airport...in Africa"

    lol'd

  • Static should meet cole McGrath

  • Lol now you can't even mention slavery for any reason it's "racist"

  • yea I know exactly how virgil feels. I know white people don't try to but white people usually make me feel very different. They ask me so many questions too that they make me feel like an alien. But when I was in africa I felt like..a kid. Not just the black kid.

  • Did you know that Static is a Ghanan American?

  • @sonikku956 really?

  • Lbm

  • @7:02 It deffinatly says "Taxi"

  • Comment removed

  • I have been looking for this epi, It one of my faves.

  • power to the ppl

  • I remember this ep from TV, thanks for posting!

  • Umm.... why are they showing savanna landscape in West Africa? that part of the continent is sub-Sahara!

  • hey THAT IS INSULTING TO CAT-MAN!

  • Well, i don't think Gear would take care of the city Static left to go to africa since he just started and all. So the bad guys could do anything they want? lol

  • @pokemonrulzx2 I'm sure Richie got pretty creative trying to watch Dakota... There should've been an episode about that! ;D

  • thanx for postin these eps this 1s my fave

  • they just don't make good cartoons like this anymore that educate us as well as entertain us.

  • @fallenangeldemon666 I tottaly agree!

  • well virgil wanted to see a tiger -_-

  • there appears to be black people at his city in the first place

  • I wish they would make more cartoons like this. It actually had meaning, comedy, and action at the same time. The cartoons u see nowadays are straight up idiotic and immature! I also like how they incorporate the lives of African Americans and people are sayin thats racist, but its not u goddamn idiots. They're not being racist! They are showing us culture u frikin bigots! Ur the ones who are being racist

  • At least they went to the right region, a lot of African-Americans go to countries in East Africa to "get back to their roots" (including one of my cousins), mostly because it tends to be safer; but it's about as stupid as me going to Russia to get in touch with my European roots (Belgian, English, and German).

  • OK, I know I'm going to regret this, but where did they want him to take the shots?

  • why do their airplane headphones look like stethoscopes...?

  • No... where did they WANT you to take them Virgil? PRAY tell us!!! XD

  • "You look so African, maybe we should leave you here."

    I lol'd.

  • I seriously thought I misheard when they said "There's nothing but black people everywhere..." :D I guess not.

  • @yaoi4evandnevayuri smart one

  • @2:25 Green One!!!

  • PS3 YEAAAAH

  • "Perhaps we are distant cousins."

Then everybody's distant cousins. We're all humans, aren't we? :)

  • @Icefire1357908642 I believe that on average, any random person of the same race you meet is likely to be about a 23rd cousin. For people of different races, it's a little higher. There's less chance of an Asian person and a South American native having common ancestry within the past two thousand years, although not at all impossible.

  • new theme song yah

  • lol It's amazing! there's black people everywhere! i love that line for some reason.

  • Haha they had to pull Virgil bak. And spiderguy looks like zorro. I wish they made it so Virgil took a trip to Kenya. I lived there for 13 years of my life and I'm only 16. :)

  • 2:25 slug bug no slug-backs :P

  • @TheAccidentprone DAMN IT!!! i was gonna do that... >:(

    LOL! Jk. XD

  • "You look so African, maybe we should leave you here." LOL.

BTW, A former pastor of mine is from Ghana. Interesting that they made it the homeland of Virgil's family.

  • L'AFRIQUE J'ADORE CETTE PLACE

  • "hey u know when my dad went to ireland, he got all goofy too" lmao

its called going to the local pub and getting wasted xD

  • @TheFilmCollectorDude

i'm also an average gamer and i'm still a A+ student( exceppt in science

science suppose to be fun but my science teacher makes really boring (like put u to sleep boring))

  • This is so awsome who knew that Static was Ghanian how many people can say that a freakin suprhero comes from their country

  • I'm from poland i wish i could go there some day :)

  • buwahaha!! XD "there are black people EVERYWHERE!" XDDDD best line EVER XD <3

  • why did they have to change the opening music =( I can't stand this one.

  • does anyone know which episode is the one where static has a copy of himself that robs banks and the city turns against him? i never got to finish seeing it...

  • @The1sillygirly Emm,that was with that TV kid,Replay,it's episode 12 ;}

  • i never knew he was a ghanaian

  • @theknuklehead Tell that to "Save China's Tigers"

  • funny thing is that Static would be the American kid in africa. He wouldn't fit in at all.

  • you know it'd be real nice if we could have some ongoing plots or something. I mean this show got it's popularity soley off of Static/virigil's cool personality. Most of the episodes are kind of half assed and lack depth. they often choose celebrity guest appearances or PSA messages instead of real stories.

  • @NoTrueFace1 Sadly it is been directed to young teens so they didn't need to make epic in depth plots (like Young Justice now),and the show was in 2000-2004,i think those plots were in depth those days, and about all of the PSA episodes, they kinda had to do them as they were one of the shows that got them right compared to other PSA that time.

  • @wanded

kinda early to say but thusfar i'm not overly impressed by young justice. I mean it's not BAD but i don't see a whole lot of the depth you're talking about. It's the sort of show that I won't cringe to see my little brother watching but I may feel is too intelectually beneath me to watch myself. Justice League on the other hand is brilliant and while it may be rather dorky of me to watch it at my age I don't think it childish.

  • @NoTrueFace1 Well i only saw the first episode so far (prefer marathoning) and it felt like they weren't underastimating the viewers,it would be disappointing if the follow ups do XP

but yea, they should put more effort into Static,or at least now make him return in a better series because out of 5 episodes,1 is PSA,1 is with a guest(real or comic),1 is half assed and the last two are pure Static epicness.

  • @wanded the first episode was the best by a nice bit.

on the other hand the latest episode has given me a tiny bit of hope. we'll see i guess.

  • lol sharon: "sombody was paying atencion when dady was saying all the boring stuff..." pop's: " he he he...that's ri....hey! " LMAO!!!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!

  • can someone tell me why static is wearing tims and a long sleeve shirt in Africa haahah

  • Here I'm not a black kid I'm just a kid is this eat it's like for you rich. Rotflol I miss this show :,(

  • GHANA!!!!! go ghana!, yeah boy. man, i may be mixed, but im really glad that im from ghana and it has always been an african symbol. btw, they used a stereotypical "african" accent for the ghanaian accent.....and ya, its called tro tro, but pronounced traw (like straw without the letter s) traw. and he aint kidding, i fucking hate living in america, u feel so different... or atleast white people make u feel diff.

  • @Tu51ndBl4d3 im a black mutt so your not alone

  • @Tu51ndBl4d3 Well, jerks everywhere will do their best to make you feel different, so they can feel better about themselves. Just tell them where they can stick it, and forget about them. If there is one thing I've learned from travelling abroad, it's that no matter where you go, or what language they speak, people are the same.

  • Look children

    Dad its just an airport

    It's not just a airport, it's a airport...

    ....IN AFRICA!!!

lol a new joke for parodies

  • Why do african american sisters in cartoons have to be huge raging bitches?

  • I love how Static Shock took new bounds when other cartoons couldn't. They've talked about guns, death, and now a black kid in africa.............this is why this cartoon ROCKS! 8DD

They don't make them like this anymore!

  • Love to new intro.

  • when i went to africa i felt that way too being surrounded by your race is sweet

and then i remember i saw a white guy and i hadnt seen one in like months it was weird!

  • Unity of black people. How racist. No, that isn't the word. Racism is the belief in racial inferiority. This is more like Hitler with the "master race." A black person is just a person! A difference in color is only a factor for identification; tall, long black hair, brown eyes, black skin, hey it's my friend Walter. Short, blond hair, green eyes, white skin is my friend Tom. I notice, but it doesn't matter at all. The world doesn't need unity of black man, it needs a unity of man. Period.

  • Holly shit i cant belive this cartoon had the guts for Virgil to be like "Im not a black kid, I'm just a kid"I totally understand what hes saying :'D since being white is the "norm" in america I want to visit Africa now!

  • 5:29 Omg there right OBMAMA is in the background

  • 2:07-2:15 dose static know the meaning of airlines security camramas

  • ho wmany episodes are there?

  • Luv how this is a kid show and yet they say, "I'm a black kid." Tons of times. XDXD

  • Personally, I like Static's new outfit better...his older one made him look...I dunno, fat. And, to add onto that, it looked like he had a frickin' yellow bra on his head, not goggles.

  • @KuroyoruRakuen it makes me think ghetto super hero now

  • static belongs in africa no lol jk

  • when did he change the white and black eletric shirt to black and gold?

  • @Godzilla370 he just did ;o he talked about it in one episode

  • What is that ?? a Thundercat ???? lol

  • LOL Some of us were paying attention when Daddy was telling us all the boring stuff. Heheh That's ri-- Hey!

  • all he did wa turn his outfit inside out

  • GIRAFFE! How far outside the city did he go?

  • BAM! AFRICAN NINJA!

  • how did anyone not notice 2:21 rofl

  • so rasist episode... ;/

  • @Buli0n Nah. Its really not. shut up.

  • i always saw static as a hero to all black kids, becuase i thought that he was the first black superhero. (and no im not black)

  • @raviel12345 Nah, Marvel (like always) did that first, Black Panther in 1966. DC only made a Black superhero for the first time over ten years later (1977) with Black Lightning

  • one of my favorite show when i was lttile.

  • Staic:there are black people everywhere

    richie:Dude, your in africa

what is that supposed to mean hahaha jk

  • omg a show that says black instead of african american or african! :D seriusly tho do u here ppl saying asian american or white american? lol

  • @Bairindo Wonder what happens when you're a white African...

  • @EmpressDivine1 thats calld an albino black prsn :)

  • @Bairindo No no lol xD

Albino black people are much lighter in color and have pink eyes. XD

  • @EmpressDivine1

    No, that's called a South African :P

  • Love this series. :)

  • what ever happend to the episode where static was on T.V. with his own series fighting Starbust: a guy who had powers like him?

  • im 100% sure they made this episode to fix the sterotypical thoughts of us americans about africa :) like how they teach us that guns are bad and drugs and stuff

  • the black star reminds me of Mos Def and Talib Kweli.

  • of course nobody noticed the flying luggage in an airport -_-

  • @kiru0a no of course not because he walked away whistling. Nobody expects anything if you walk away whistling!

  • 5:36 que major plot influence.

  • ghana may be the first african nation to come out of imperialism, but ethiopia never suffered the pains of outside rule, other than a short period before and during world war 2. man, they kicked the italians butts before world war 1.

  • ....sooo.... 2:50-2:56 there's a sign that says "taxi", even though it's supposed to be called a "tro-tro?"

  • Maybe its for tourists?

  • @monkeyman767 okay, that makes sense.

  • 2:31 XD wow....just wow...he probably not even a first gen African American. Did they seriously have to make this episode? XDD

  • man i wish they had an africa for mixed kids.....

  • They said Ghana was the first independent black nation...but actually Haiti was...in 1804 almost 150 years before Ghana. And W.E.B Du Bois was also Haitian..he just go an American nationality.

  • somebody pays attention in history good job we need more people like you

  • I believe he said Black AFRICAN colony. Haiti is in the Americas

  • @killAm0th acually Ghana is the first AFRICAN nation

  • That's because it was founded because of the huge vein of gold there, which is why Ghana was known as the "Gold Coast".

  • As a matter of fact, there's a neat way of how you can remember Accra, the Ghanian capital -- preferably these 2 numbers: "0" and "0". It's because Accra, Ghana is the only capital city in the world that's located closest to where the imaginary boundary lines -- the EQUATOR (0°) and PRIME MERIDIAN (0°), both converge.

  • 4:55 Not really.. Liberal guilt makes it so no one's allowed to feel good in America.

  • @VinnyVanYiffy that was like the dumbest statement. In America, you are just a kid...its that kind of talk that keeps all the "racism" alive...

  • ...what I said or what the show said? My point is America went from one extreme to th other, "reverse racism" if you will.

  • What the show said.

  • dude static all the way in africa come on now the should no virgil is static

  • But you'll notice that they never saw him as static.

  • shouldn't there be a pause button on rich's controller?

  • (2:53) if it's called 'trotro', then why does the sign say 'taxi'? lol!

  • So The English Could Undastand Where Taxi Pick Up Isz...
