Basically, the song is a lamentation of a rejection by friends when two lovers fall in love. I'm sure someone else will be happy to expound a little more on the theme of the song for you. :)

Yes it's true this song is from movie Safarbarlik which documents the suffering of the Lebanese people during World War I.

This song is about a couple who were cajoled into falling in love but when they did, they were blamed by the hypocritical society around them, all to the poetic lyrics and pleasant voice of Fairuz.
