only 18 thousand children in prisons in russia? considering the population of the country, thats very little.

Why must they convert them to help them? Just provide assistance and do not impose your religion on others

I don't give a damn about Christmas , but this is really sad . This looks a lot like America though , we have the world's largest prison system . My own sister worked at a juvenile prison for girls . Most were there for prostitution and they were 13-16 years old . Imagine locking a 13 year old up because her parents made her turn tricks . Most of the employees quit because the kids were so mistreated .

I admire anyone who takes in foster children.

But before you adopt one, you have to be ready. It can be extremely dangerous. These kids have extreme INTERNAL ANGER about the way they were treated. They can't get revenge on the adults who destroyed their lives, and the anger will all come out as soon as they reach the USA.

Thanks for sharing this video. I had absolutely no idea that these sort of camps existed. This has really opened my eyes. I wonder if any of the western governments have ever commented on these sort of "institutions". Probably not, but it would be interesting to hear their official stance on this.

They are in prison because they committed crimes trying to survive on the streets when there were no parents at home to feed them and look after them. The crime is really in the homes of Russia where rampant alcoholism causes not only family misery and breakdown, but contributes to the fact that Russian men have a life expectancy of 56 years or maybe now even less.

We can guarantee the money gets to where it is intended. We have local churches who administer the aid throughout the year as well as provide counselling and spiritual guidance. All goods are purchased in Russia under the supervision of our Director of Missions in Finland. And, 100% of offerings designated to these kids go to this work. Administrative costs are covered by the mission from general offerings.

You know nothing about me. My family is from Ukraine It is my goal and that of my co-workers to help those in Russia and other ex-Soviet states that are neglected by their own people. Why don't you ask the Ministry of Justice if these camps exist? There are 18 of them. We recently discovered there are even more camps under other other gov't departments. There is enough money in Russia to solve this problem, but there is one thing lacking; a lack of love and a tradition of charity in Russia.

The reason for comments like this is because Russia has propaganda videos against the west all day every day. While we in the west hear very little about Russia, hatred of the west post the cold war is still extremely prevalent. Well besides the many Russian journalists who try highlight such cases, who automatically get killed (as decreed by their LAW!). Madness at it's highest.
