The influence of Islamic mystic was through poets, but it was not though the cruisades, or at least, not mainly the cruisades. The main bridge between sufi poetry was thourgh Spanish culture. The great sufi philosopher Ibn Arabi was Spanish, and the influence of arabian poetry is said to be quite clear in St. John of the Cross and St. Therese.

Some one should inform Sheik Wllewelly about the history of islam in Spain. During 8 centuries most of the "spanish" culture had an islamic background

In the west is where the gate of Death lye's. Like any seeker who is truly bound to the lessons of ones heart, lessons are bitter sweet. Romance in the west is for the cult of the eternal youth, the love for dry roses with its thorns still in tact. The love of the one, who has become wounded by such romantic Ideals, feels betrayed by the one, they had such a relationship with. Hopefully, one day they will reconcile within their hearts all external love is truly unattainable.

Its so interesting how the greatest Sufis in history were very simple people who were wanderers, homeless, without possessions, without titles, humble and definitely not part of the mainstream. Now today, Sufism has been institutionalised by western establishment people with lofty titles such as PHD, DR., "Expert", "Orientalist", "Psychologists" etc etc, and people only give credence to people with such titles when sufism can be seen in the most insignificant and ignored people.

Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee's words filled me with love, joy, and hope. After watching this film I found his website and found even more great stuff to read and watch. I found out that he teaches Universal Sufism which is a non-muslim line of work that embraces people of all religions and spiritual paths.

Rather than looking at you're role in this equation, how you contribute or allow this mass-neglect and/or mass-hysteria in western society you have quickly turned the tables to project issues on the Islamic traditions.

True but this 'projecting' is specifically aimed towards segments that are generally considered extremely intolerant. My role in this equation is based on the humanity of someone like Christ, and I'm certain there is many principles in Sufism that would be compatible with the example the human Christ have taught humanity that extremists everywhere should consider.

Suffering like stoning or being executed if one leaves his or her faith is an internal structure that if Sufism is that desirable, will never tolerate either. The Islamic world should re-discover Sufism.

There's no greater inner productive evolution than to practice what Jesus the man have already shown the world in his words and actions. You of course can discover compatible practices via Sufism and that's just great. My work had just begun, and in this case I see that together with westerners re-discovering Sufism, it's logical that extremely intolerant beings specifically in the place of Sufism's origin also re-discover it most importantly first. (No I have not read it.)

Sufism is not "our beliefs/conclusions". You should realize its origin is Muslim/Islamic. But just as Buddhism is not "our beliefs/conclusions", we all know more and more westerners are discovering its Jesus-Like compatibility. So now all the extremist/intolerant beings everywhere got 3 choices to navigate their "inner evolution".

Some of these lives were sleeping while someone poured flammable liquid then lit on fire. There has to be human rights standard we all must accept to protect someone like her from even lesser evolved creatures. But if the perpetrator discovers one of the 3 choices, this kind of cruelty would never happen.
