Jason tore his anterior labrum in his shoulder when he tryed to catch a falling bass amp head and johnny colt is just a temporary replacement not staying they had to change thier name to rockstar supernove insted of just supernova due to another band with the name.
It's more like he left because he wasn't allowed to express his creativity in Met so he did side projects (e.g. Echobrain). Hetfield questioned his loyalty to Metallica and say he couldn't do anything apart from Metallica. Ironically,it was Hetfield and Urlich who hazed Jason and didn't let him contribute to the band in the first place.I didn't make it up, watch "Some kind of monster" or the Metallica MTVIcon thing.
