Actually, Chasm is about Laserous being sent to hell, and he was pleaing that he needs to tell his brothers not to go there, hes so thirsty and its so dry, he needs to tell them and warn them.

Not really about lacey at all lol.

@eeflien0909 break your knees is about not being faithful and getting hurt and is saying right now is only a small part of what's to come. like when she says "life will on earth will end for all concieved and prove to be only a breath a mist a womb for whats to come how soon forever arrives". its one of my favorite songs! :) <3

I kinda miss the seventeen year old Flyleaf. The music back then seemed more powerful and strong whereas now it still has feeling in it but it's more kinda, happy calm music. I dunno I guess some people like that better but I loved the screaming and the raw power behind it the way it was. Don't get me wrong I love Memento Mori. But you know, where are the "I'm So Sick's" or the "Cassies". It really sucks that she lost her voice too :(

She can still sing amazing though which is great :)

yeah, i definitely know what you mean. "swept away" has some screaming in it, but other than that, there's nothing very hard core on the album. i absolutely loved it, but i like the old stuff too. oh well, it's good that lacey's doing what she can to stay healthy.

That music was great, and it will always be there. I love all of their music. To me Memento Mori is more metaphorical in the lyrics and it feels like they've grown up alot. While I do love how she used to scream more, when you get down to it the new album makes up for the loss of screaming with Lacey's matured vocals and lyrics, and the instrument playing seems more creative too. There are more effects and things in the songs that add to the feel they're trying to get across. I love old and new.

oh well a while ago my friends dad told me she lost her voice and so I was like really? and ever since then up until I heard they were releasing Memento Mori, I thought Flyleaf wouldn't be making anymore albums...but now that they are releasing Memento Mori you could obviously see where I got confused...so thnx for telling me that, now it makes sense...
