  • Very informative.. It has a Caucasian Imfomercial flavor that kinda takes away its authenticity.

  • ...and here in America, we wanna complain about lil shit when they really have to wotk hard to make products and spoil our lazzy butts

  • Now I have a new appreciation for imported shea butter and the intensive labor put into making the product.

  • great job indeed!, may Allah bless you sister ..

    greetings from Somalia :) ...

  • wow ! the next time i wont say a word about the price

  • @CraftFamilyMO, Shea butter is called shea butter because it is made from shea nuts (the tree is called Butyrospermum parkii). See my accompanying video "Shea: From Tree to Nuts" that shows the first half of this process - how the nuts are gathered and dried. Shea trees grow in a band across West Africa, as well as in parts of East Africa. If you made butter from Macadamia nuts, you would have macadamia butter.

  • this was AMAZING to watch...right from the beginning straight to the very end......it was so informative and highly interesting...I LOVE to see how other cultures are practiced, Love ,Love, Love it. Now I know the REAL colour shea butter is supposed to be...seeing is believing and I just watched an excellent 9 almost 10 minute video explaining the important process of how shea butter is made and saw it with my own eyes....IVORY COLOURED is the real deal. That's what it looks like when its done.

  • I love the way they are so thankful. Thanking Allah and then constantly saying positive blessing things "May we have a peaceful night" What a great spirit these people have. I've watched this before but I love watching it over and over again. Reminds me what is important in life.

  • Wow that's alot of hard work, I appreciate Shea butter much more now :) thank you for this video

  • WOW

  • Beautiful and informative. Man, this is what I call hard work, and I shall never complain about my life nor the price of shea butter lol. Lawd knows, if I had to work like that, I'd be lying on a hospital stretcher somewhere. I'm also glad to know that shea butter shouldn't be yellow in color, because that's what I've been using.

  • Wow! This makes me want to further the cause and buy more shea butter now

  • Wow, now that's hard labor!!! What did that little bowl take, two or three days? Good lord, imagine if she was making about ten of those bowls. THAT'S LABOR!!!

  • these ladies really do work hard and dont complain a bit

  • good for these women that they are able to keep and continue their culture while surviving in the new modern world with their traditional techniques.

and lol @ Afu's friend who cosigned on everything. "mmmmm, Mhmmm, mmm"

  • thank you for sharing. i just used my raw African Shea Butter. My hair & my skin feel great. i am grateful to these beautiful hardworking women.

  • OMG I had NO idea it took all that work to making Shea Butter. I'm so glad I saw this vid. Where can I buy from these ladies?

  • wow i am going to mail them some money in advance. that was too much work just so we can have nice hair. oh i love them!

  • I will not only never complain about the price but I will never complain about anything ever again... <3

  • I bought 16 oz, actually a pound of this shea butter for $5 and seriously i dont think tht it's enough for all of this hard work !!!!

  • THANKS FOR ALL U DO IN ADVANCE THEY NEED TO CHARGE MORE THIS IS VERY HARD WORK NEXT TIME I BUY I WILL BE THINKING OF THESE WOMEN ;}

  • THANKS FOR ALL U DO IN ADVANCE THE NEED TO CHARGE MORE THIS IS VERY HARD WORK NEXT TIME I BUY I WILL BE THINKING OF THESE WOMEN ;}

  • SUCH BEAUTIFUL STRONG BLACK WOMEN!!!!

  • This is great to see! I use shea butter in my soaps and it is good to see the faces of the women on the other side of our world working hard and making such a wonderful thing

  • its like mixing dough but 1000 times harder and time comsuming....i know i can not even mixed dought with my hands for 5 mins and these women do it for hours,days..much repect

  • Now this clears up the confusion about the ivory and yellow shea butter. It is suppose to be ivory, off white. etc, not yellow. The smoke smell some talk about is just from the old methods of making it. Thank you for sharing.I want to find a good company to buy from where money actually benefits these women! If someone knows please help me! I want the good stuff for my formulations and I want to help these women! Shame on the companies who take advantage of these people!!!

  • Oh yea, and Tyra Banks, u could take a lesson from these ladies on walking with a graceful gate honey, Carrying a 10 pound load on your head. OMG. ....nuff said.

  • Notice the younger sista is showing the more mature lady the newer method. Generation to generation. Wow, I am so proud to see this. I wish import taxes were not so ridiculously high, I would do business with these ladies buying directly from them. Thanks for this video. I wish I had that butter : - ))

  • Wow! I have great appreciation for those who make the shea butter I buy at the African market in my city. That's a longer process than I thought.

  • Beautiful. This is serious work

  • Thanks foe this video.

  • I have alot of respect for these women. That's back breaking work! I just hope all the women that work get compensated really well. Thank you for your work.

  • Wow... now that's "work"... how many days did that take??? 4? i dunno, but they get MAD respect from me!

  • Very informative!!!

  • People don't realize all the hard work that goes into the making of Shea butter. These women work like slaves to produce a little Shea butter and they don't ask a lot of money for it. I have a lot of respect for these women and I hate the cosmetic companies because they take advantages of these women. (Mind the spelling, I'm not English I'm Afrikaans)

  • omg i wont complain anymore and this stuff makes my skin glow i get compliments all the time.

  • i want to buy butter from her directly any help???

  • @SuperZainabkhan contact me

  • i want to buy butter from her directly any help???

  • i want to buy butter from her directly any help???

  • wow so good and hard wark too but in the end i guess she will get nothing but very very low pay ya i guess im right may god bless these ladys

  • how can I buy from them directly. That is some quality butter right there. I wish I could buy my own Shea Nuts so that I can make my own butter....shady business practices make me skeptical. Gosh they do quality work...they could make a grip off of me easy. What's the 411, I need to call them sistas

  • Thanks for this video. I have to agree with everyone else, this is very informative.

  • Absolutely Beautiful! Such an honor to watch her work! and she is so clean!!! I wish that I could just travel directly to her and give her all of my money for shea butter. Thank you for this video.

  • Good and pure African products with lots of hard labor do not bring in the money it deserves. I will start buying shea butter regularly and use the African black soap with it. I will not complain but pray the finances goes where it belongs. Can't trust the Nero system. Great vid, thanks for posting!

  • This was a very informative video...like some of my other YouTtubers no complaints about the price and respect to the sisters who put in the labor.

  • now you know she don't take of those bracelets when the cameras are off lol no, it was very informative, but that is not what I see along the street in Harlem with the street vendors

  • Thank you for posting this very informative video. Those strong women were working sooo hard and I didn't hear one complaint. I am humbled and enlightened at the same time. I wish I could buy all of my butter from these women and be used as a source of economic empowerment to improve their way of life. God Bless you and thank you.

    Peace & Abundant Blessings

  • This was such a nice video... and I too wont complain about the cost of shea.

  • Notice the pale beige color. Almost like cream. Raw shea is NOT yellow like I have been trying to tell others. This video is a great example of that. I however like the smokey nutty odor of the shea butter. I will miss it if they do all butter this way. Great video! :o)

  • I agree....Yellow She or White is not true Shea. Yellow is African Butter, and the white has been treated with hexane and other chemicals. I agree. I also try to inform people.

  • Very interesting! I won't complain about the price of raw shea butter anymore! :)

  • i concur lol

  • That woman is damn strong, did you see that pounding, shea butter should be $100 an ounce for all that hard work!

  • I know, you notice how she's just bending with no problem. If I did that, something would snap!

  • awesome vid! very infromative!

  • GREAT VIDEO - really entertaining and informative
