AUNTM for cycles 1,2 ,4 and 5 was no better than ANTM in the end result.This show needed this season to have such high caliber girls,it was make or break.Without that they would have been dismissed just like Tyras and had no more Elite for a NY visit or Harpers,or anybody else.

@42Johney Yes but what about all the years of teen magazines? A winner getting a high fashion spread was a 14 year wait.Tyras connections got some girls work,but other franchises have embarrassed her with real careers for winners outside a hosts umbrella.

@martinishot every cycle isnt a year, its 2 cycles per year . and the teen mags were for 8 cycles totalling for 4 years from cycle 7 to 14. ANTM Started off great and high fashion with a partnerships with Marie-Claire and Elle girl. both more high fashion than teen, and when tyra noticed she was going waay too commercial she stepped it up and got italian vogue and IMG and its getting consistently better. so ANTM has been good a majority of the time it just got lost in the middle.

@42Johney What can the winner do after the prizes are done?The first Russian franchise produced an actual top model winner,Ksenia Kahnovich on the very first cycle.The AU franchise produced an actual top model winner,Alice Berdea on the 3rd cycle.While Alice was walking in every major show and getting campaigns with every high fashion label in the world in 2007/2008 how did Tyra answer this? She made too big no future Whitney her next winner,but not Next Top Model. Ann Ward was a long wait.

I think that of all the seasons of AusNTM this season had the most amazingly beautiful girls. Such high caliber of looks and talent w/Kathryn, Kelsey, Joanna, Amanda, Jess, and Sophie. Of course AusNTM in general has better talent than america's next top model.

@rayarts Well, Chantal is exotic, and definitely different from the rest in terms of appearance. It's unfortunate she's the only contestant of color. I was expecting to see some Asian and/or Aboriginal girls. Australia is so backwards. Morgan Freeman himself said that living in Australia felt like living in the USA during the 1950s.
