I got the limited edition today too, downloaded the extra's the XMB works fine, but i dont see the new skins? where are they located? or do u still need to unlock them?

go into muiplayer mode

press square to bring up your profile

go across and press X on every hero or vilian and they will be there , if not go into playstation store and in the top right corner there is a downloads button, go on that and redownload it
