IT`S CLEARLY FAKE :

1- you can see g videogame interface on the bottom right

2- the shadow is extremly neet eaven wenn the plane is well above the deck

3- the ducted fan bottom doar is closed during the vertical take off

4- to do that you would have to ritch at least the stall spead , and he preatymutch did it beffore the end of the flight deck, that version of f35 has a g limit of 7G doing that would have toren it in peaces!!!

@trombonista92 The fan wasn't closed, it was just a test flight and the front fan stopped working. It wasn't closed. And the pilot had been doing that kind of stuff for a really long time, which is why he surrvived.

its not real. look at the bottom of the vid you can see the power bars on the screen. was majorly dissappointing for me that it is a fake because when i watched this i had an instant orgasm! serious props to the person playing the game that did this tho cause it got me seriously wet! lol

Read what Skyline posted just below you. Then watch again and you will not a NAME float ABOVE THE CANOPY.

then also notice as also posted that the fan doors are not open on top nor bottom. The rear nozzle of this jet rotates out and down in a 90 degree angle when VTOL'ing. It does not retract all that quickly.

incidentally, a F-22 might be able to pull this off, but doing it that low to a deck would cost him his wings. .. but then again, the F-22 is Air Force so they wouldn't be over a carrier; nor is it a vtol.

it's not real.. Because Fan Doors is NOT open. and also Nozzle is NOT down.. and besides it was very fast move.. I think (as a Falcon gamer) , it is impossible .. it as catch as horizantal position , went away.. do you think it is real?

I agree with you. They only completed the first vertical landing with the F-35 only about a month ago. I doubt they would try to pull a stunt like this before they did that. The harrier is the only other fixed wing jet aircraft (that I know of) that has the capabilities of vertical take off.I can't recall harrier doing this ever either. I doubt this video is true. I've also heard a lot of people say it's from the Battlefield video game. Still pretty cool video though ;)
