Not a lot of money for props. Plastic and things lying around the house and garage. X1/9 is my car from 1983. No Delorean in my possession. Not buying another car. This one is fun and drivable.

the tires are 1/2 tires made of corrugated plastic, mounted on a cover of reflective mirror mylar so the tire looks round. lights are led Christmas lights mounted inside the hollow tires. The whole contraption was drivable in the local parade

How did you get the photoshopped "inserts" to "track" so well with the actual car ?

And the fake shading and lights/shadows were pretty good too.

There is no photoshopping

Photoshop isn't even the program that would be used. After Effects would be used to do that, but it isn't here.

This is real and uses a mirror to reflect the half of the tire that is showing to make it look complete. Its real, but not floating or anything.
