@antiquityful ... There are two kinds of scriptures in Hinduism, Shruti and Smriti. Shruti is basically the collection of the Vedas and the Upanishads whereas Smriti mainly consists of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Now, you're accepting Ramayana and denying Mahabharata. Also, Bhagvad Gita is a part of Mahabharata. By denying Mahabharata you're denying Bhagvad Gita too. Just to let you know, Bhagvad Gita teaches some pretty good things. Do you really want to deny them???!!!

But regardless, the point still holds. You're accepting one part (and it is "Hindu scriptures" that I am talking about here) which is Shruti and denying the other part which is Smriti. Of course, here we are totally ignoring the fact that Bhagvad Gita is also (in fact, most often) classified under Shruti!!!
