Wow, this is some of the best English dub work for an anime I've ever heard. It doesn't sound fake or anything. It sounds very natural.

How were we saving other countries? By rejecting boats of fleeing jews? By not entering the war earlier, waiting for something like pearl harbor to happen? Pearl Harbor happened in 1941, and the first atomic bomb was dropped in 1945. Seems like a bit of a delay for "retaliation". America dropped the bombs to try to get the japanese to end the war earlier, but the japanese were going to surrender regardless because of Russia getting involved in this fight. The bombs were totally unnecessary.

@af8611 I think you should brush up on your history of WW2. Granted we were late entering the war but before that time we were giving England supplies, money, ammunition, whatever they needed. The war itself and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was a harsh lesson for nations content on being isolationists. And regardless of what the Japanese say, it was the bombs that finally broke their resolve. We used them in the first place BECAUSE we didn't want Russia involved.

@af8611 Thank the Lord we never had to find out because if history is an indicator, as ruthless and cruel as the Japanese were during the 30s and 40s, they would have done just that and with no warning mind you, as we did. Do you know what separated the Japanese from the Americans during WW2? Honor and a conscience.
