Game looks great, fitting music and a PC that can push pixels.

A 4870/5770 are nearly neck and neck. Although 4890>5770. And 5770<4890 in regards to architecture and DX11. I have a 4850 that can max this game out, it looks gorgeous. Nice video, glad to see someone that likes this game.

FarCry 2 runs on CryEngine 2 (from Crytek), and Crysis 2 runs on CryEngine 3. If the way something looked in-game depended on the engine, Crysis 2 would have fire that looked just as good, if not better.

Game engines are essentially for processing and scripting together what's happening in the game. It's the textures and image bank that actually dictate what the engine is processing.

The HD 4870 is better than the 5770(Only a bit...) and two of them KICKS ASS!

The GTX 260 is as fast as the 4870. And the GTX 280 is around 15% faster than the GTX 260.

And two of them kicks ass(Only one would be enough!)

Your processor is quite good... And your 8GB ram should begood if they are fast ddr3! (6GB would be better in Triple SLot, but if you don´t want to...)

And tripple S is only for intel and it doesnt do the same bandwidth , and if you put more smaller sticks in it is not as quick as larger sticks which transfer data quicker ! The 4870 has 900MHz memory spped, mine has 4800,

But, when you're actually playing and get a close look at the textures, shadows, and fire effects you can clearly see how much better looking the PC version is compared to the console version.

It still looks outstanding on consoles, though.

@seidl01 ive invested hundreds of hours into this game and ive never shot a guy in the head and he didnt die. also guys dont absorb whole clips like they say. what this game is missing is civilians, predators and a slightly tuned AI(better stealth mechanics. it does straddle bad and broken). also the ability to climb trees and rock formations like cliffs. there were so many times when i looked up and said "dam i wish i could climb that it wud be a great sniper position. overall ilove this game
