HC Bailly, don't know if you realize this or not, but episode #78 is the last one that is in the playlist for this LP. So, this video and the ones after it aren't in the playlist. Just giving you a heads up. :)
Ritual needs a Sacrifice. Heiss wants to stop the ritual to save him. Stocke is the sacrifice. Heiss cares about him (or it looks like he does), Aht says they share the same "..." (I'd go for "blood"), so they're somehow related, I guess? Father-son? Heiss' age doesn't help, he could have grown that old by abusing the chronicle. And there's Ernst, Eruca's brother, who looks just like Stocke according to her. I'm pretty sure Stocke and Heiss are Granorg royalty. Can't figure who Heiss is though.
lol Im sure that description would be true if this game was made by disney,I would rather have a ridiculous bad ending than an overly cheesy one, there are a few lovey dovey happy endings I actually
HCBaily what dose the buff Qi Charge do since Bergous used it at the begining of that Gafka fight and i wasn't sure what it did since when i fought him to get that same ability i was able to just use 2 musos on him and kill him and i don't think i was a higher lvl then you where.
@snooffun Kinda like how Stocke took Rosch's gauntlet to fix Rosch's gauntlet, and in the other timeline, from Rosch's gauntlet being fixed, Stocke and Rosch never fought so Stocke never got Rosch's gauntlet to fix Rosch's gauntlet?
Honestly, while I am excited to see the ending and all, I'm a bit disappointed. I prefer the bad guys to have the upper hand when you go for the final battle- makes an ending so much more epic, IMO. The alternative is that it feels like the bad guys are throwing a pathetic, anti-climactic last-ditch effort. Look at FFIX, Kuja was on the brink of destroying all existence before you went and fought him. Here it feels like 'Meh, Heiss is around. Go kill him.'
@JeffroTheMan1 Technically, Heiss always had the upper hand, from the very beginning. It's just that he's not as competent as Stocke is, and kept screwing up, until this point where he's being slowly pushed into a corner.
@CastlePokemetroid Sure, but slowly pushing the villain into a corner takes away the sense of urgency a final battle should have, in my opinion. If he had stolen the Etherion much earlier in the game, and say, was about to destroy it for good, it might be different. As is, it feels more like an interactive epilogue. All the details of the 'big reveal' being pretty obvious doesn't help, either.
This is me nitpicking at the game, mind, I've thoroughly enjoyed it and the LP.
Gotta comment again. One of my favorite parts of the game is coming up, and it involves a race back in time. SUCH brilliance from the writers. Maybe might not work that way, but..
@Cosmikaze It would be a reference to Nier, another game by Square Enix. In the comments to a previous video, someone stubbornly referred to Heiss as Weiss - Grimoire Weiss that is (incidentally, Grimoire Weiss is essentially a different way of saying White Chronicle ... but I don't know if there's any relation).
@BloodfelX Okay, so Stocke is Ernst - that much should be obvious by now. But the rest of it, and how it all works out - just wait and see :) I like how they explain it.
It's already come to this. Kinda sad that it's almost over already. Now I just have to prepare myself for one of the best songs on the soundtrack of this game.
Radiant Historia, oh RH, why must you not tell us ANYTHING until it is ABSOLUTELY pivoltal to the plot? Oh, right. It's a jRPG. That's why. Still a damn good one though. Speaking of jRPG's, HC, you ever play Dragon Quest 8 for the PS2?
But the game has only added a final chapter to the alternate history. We hit a road block in the original history before in it's chapte 6... I suspect we have ANOTHER final chapter to do, and then a final, FINAL chapter where both time lines merge, much as they split at the original node. Because as we all know, you can't divide time without remerging at some point.
@Shadow9808 We'll find out like in the next episode (or the one after that), so I'll just tell you that standard history's final chapter is the final chapter.
Technically, the timelines don't ever merge, but the feelings of the characters are combined into one.
Even though it was a mistake HCBailly, to your viewers it's like a tiny bonus. I just wonder if you'll only post your Seiken Denetsu 3 game tomorrow~?
Good heavens, as if it's not BLATANTLY obvious by now what's going on with Stocke. Sheesh. I have to agree with rufusfan. The game needs to get to the point, already!
But it wouldn't be a JRPG without hilariously drawn-out revelations that attempt to pull the rug out from under you! It's not like it's been heavily foreshadowed in BOTH timelines!
@HCBailly when did we learn about Eruca's brother's name? I mean, I've peace together about five posablilitys for the ending, but I'm just saying.
On an unrelated note, wtf is up with Heiss' nose? Seresly, imagen if he got a cold, there would be more mucis on the wall then...I don't know what.
Finaly, "Heiss", really? Why would you name your kid that unless you want them to become a jrpg villan? I do love the game, and the let's play, but those things just bothered me.
@DemonofHell48 i think the name Ernst came up a while back when he first visited Granorg. I personally dont remember too well, but I think it was that Eruca and a few of the soliders called him by that although at that stage of the game, no one would have really known. So i guess it would be up to the viewers/players to see that connection eventually as the storyline progressed
JRPGs are my favorite genre, but if theres one thing i dislike about it, its that most of the time, theres something i can figure out or predict easily. But Damn if those ones i don't see coming aren't all the more satisfying for it.
Fffffff. EEEEK~ Teeeheee. I'm so excited. But jeez...they are really milking Stocke's past for all that it's worth aren't they....GET TO THE DAMN POINT ALL READY GAME!
Wait, what? Today's still Wednesday, I don't see the word "bonus" in the title, this isn't Seiken Densetsu III, so why, how is there another Radiant Historia episode today? Who cares? It's another Radiant Historia episode from HC Bailly.
@Battlerage502 Boy, did I. Although it'd be kinda hilarious if Heiss did end up becoming (or being revealed as) a talking book that lets the holder throw lances of darkness or something at people.
(My knowledge of Nier is secondhand and rather limited, so I don't know what other abilities Weiss confers, but if he, like, gave the power to Stocke or something...Maximum penetration. Haha joke.) A bit too long for a confirmation reply, eh?
@lovesthebass We won't be getting one tomorrow though, in the uploader comments he said he neglected to set it to publish tomorrow morning meaning this is tomorrows episode.

Protea probably didn't let Eruca do the ritual because Protea had the etherion and she wanted to keep it for herself as a pretty gem.

Two things.
1) I like the title for this episode. That game needs to be referenced more often
2) I think the reason Eruca couldn't do the ritual before is because Protea was using the Etherion as a jewel or something IIRC.
