I live down here in Gulfport... less than a mile from the Harrison County Jail. This kind of treatment has been going on for DECADES even back when Joe Price was still the sheriff. The thing that made this case special was that Jessie Lee Williams was arrested for non-violent charges. Had he been arrested for a violent felony, no one but his loved ones would've noticed or cared. Sad, but true. It's a shame that it took his death to provoke some justice. Very sad indeed.

Since there's no parole program for Federal Prison, he will never see freedom again. The fact that this case ended up requiring a Federal hearing leads me to believe that a local court trial would never have convicted him.

The Police lied under oath, Lied in court and they covered everything up... it was a simply traffic stop which NO violations was given sense I didnt do anything to begin with... you want to change your statement? just because a police stops you, arrest you and put you in jail dont mean he is guilty... however, its up to a court to decide your fate not a cop, cops are to enforce the law not judge your case. cops have toooooo much control
