Just because its using the ps2 analog stick doesnt mean the game movement will be any smoother. The mouse ponter still only goes in the 8 directions that it allows on the onboard analog stick.

Wrong. This isn't fake. What you do is take apart the controller and solder wires to certain parts on the PS2 analog. Then, on the PSP, you solder the other end of the wires from the analog to the PCB and D-Pad. If you don't believe me, look at the wiring diagrams on acidmods :)
