@yobro250 Well, I do. Clinching can be very interesting and good Muay Thai fighters can do a lot of damage from this position when they are able to get to an advantageous position. In my opinion this bit of grappling really spices fights up. I guess in the end it simply comes down to personal taste.

I would bet a lot of money that you have never fought in muay thai because you obviously have no clue what It is like in the clinch and have no respect for it. K1 is basically kickboxing and not muay thai, and kickboxing sucks but I suppose its a matter of taste but no respecting thai boxer would prefer K1 rules to full thai.

The reason Buakaw taps gloves with Skarbowsky is that a head kick in the first round is 'kinda' disrespectful in muay thai. Its like saying 'sorry mate I thought you were ready to step things up.'

K-1 is far from the same thing.Some people now think Kickboxing=k-1.Kickboxing is way to large because anysport with punches and kicks allowed are kickboxing(karate,savate,sanda kung-fu,etc)K-1 is almost a sport of himself because of the rules that disadvantages MT fighters because in K-1 they cant clinch and knee they can only clinch with 1h and then only 1 knee.

Actually they are friends, Buakaw comes to train at Skarbo's camp sometimes. Skarbo is more Thai then French, speaks thai, thai wife, and feels thai. Buakaw respects Skarbo a lot
