@JudeQuinnGammer Well actually, I came up with this on my own and had never seen anything about strip mining before. And no, it isn't a waste of time to connect the strips given that they are longer than just a few blocks. In a 200 long by 10 wide strip mine, connecting the strips at the back and mining back towards the front is much faster than having to walk back to begin mining again. Also, it makes navigation after you finish mining much easier, especially in large mines like mine.
@GenericGaming u dont have to mine a row in 1 line and then go to the next line , dig 1 line to the bottom and then go to an another, connecting them doesnt really make any scene since the time mining these blocks, connecting them, can be more useful to, for example, prolong each individual strip by 2 blocks for each side.(4 blocks for 1 line)
i still make the landing pool 2 blocks deep because sometimes when you land to hard you sometime hit the block. but that mostly happens if you have a lag BUT safer than sorry. Safty comes first thumps up so people can see it
I like your videos because they are HD, because you don't lag, because your minecraft looks so inspiring and bright, because your microphone isnt a gay potato.
WHAT THE FUCK!!!! WHEN I DO THIS I GET MAYBE A BIT OF COAL BUT OTHERWISE IM JUST MAKING HALLWAYS AND COLLECTING STONE THAT I DONT NEED!!!! i made a ton of hallways... oh well, at least now with the hallways i could prolly make an underground house... seeing how i got like 3 large chests full of cobblestone
@oscarsanders07 I'm sorry to hear that, but since Minecraft is a randomly generated world, who knows what you'll find while mining. Now imagine if you hadn't used my technique, you would have mined 200% more for nothing. For best results, honeycomb mining should be done with the blocks at your feet starting about five layers above the bottommost layer of bedrock. That gives you the best chance to find good ore, but it is still all luck.
@mikeruberg True, but I've had diamond appear as just two blocks stacked on top of each other, so I decided that the safer route is the better route (at least once you are near the bottom of the world).

how many blocks ( chunks ) it needs to be wide, and long, or it depends on our taste ?
PixelDeBurner 2 months ago
@PixelDeBurner Depends on what you want really. Can be as many blocks wide or long as you want.

Actually, I leave three blank between each shaft. The reason is that ore veins usually span a few rows

Here's another tip with your caves, always put your torches on the left. That way you will never get lost!!
