  • Biggest terrorist attack ever!

  • Fuck you bush

  • @SuperBookbinder what have Bush to do with this?!?!?!

  • about time

  • well me i think it was smart to do this because if they hadn't then they would have probably done it to us and we'd be dead so for the people who didn't do anything to us R.I.P and the ones that did well you know what we can do now

  • the bomb weren't that spectacular ...

  • @TheNintendonerd45 - we did it because during the war, the japanese raped, killed and did loads more discusting and horrible things to us. The war ended between us and the nazis but it carried on between Hiroshima and America so they dropped the bomb to end it. I know its sad but it had to be done.

  • @TheSimba97 It did not have to be done. The Japanese were close to capitulation anyway. We did it to intimidate the USSR. They did not keep fighting after the 1st bomb they were already in surrender negotiations. We are the only people who have ever used nuclear weapons in anger. did drop the second atomic bomb during WW2 to intimidate the Soviet Union. Before the first atomic bomb was even dropped on Hiroshima the Japanese armies were failing and they wished to surrender.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Take a deep breath, the Germans killed a lot more people during WWII, yes the bombs were spectacular, but they did not cost the most damage during that war...The Japanese were flaying Chinese women, they were hardly saints. War is hell, I know it's politically correct to fall on your knees and weep over this particular history, but many more countries have killed a lot more innocent people over the centuries, it's just a fact of life, human beings are savages, welcome to Earth!

  • @goodgirlkay What does how many people the Germans killed or what the Japanese did have to do with anything. Two wrongs don't make a right. Killing women and children, which is mostly what was in either city at the time, is not justifiable. It was wrong for Germans to do it, it was wrong for Japanese to do it and it was wrong for us to do it and it was completely unnecessary. If I take your attitude humans will never progress. I think we are capable of more humanity, excuse the pun.

  • @Scootertuner1000 The Japanese were also developing an atomic bomb. Ultimately it led to the surrender of Japan and ended WW2. War is hell and alot of terrible shit happened. Life is not fair. But now they make reliable cars so it all worked out.

  • @9130Resto he Japanese program to develop nuclear weapons was conducted during World War II in response to the perceived threat of its enemies (principally the United States) obtaining such a weapon first and using it against Japan..

  • @TheSimba97 Toward the end of WW2 they didn't have much of a navy or an airforce. their cities were being bombed and destroyed by regular high explosives and raids. Also, Japan couldn't get the supplies it needed anymore our own B-29's had destroyed most of the Japanese industries and, with the laying of mines, prevented teh arrival of incoming cargoes.

  • @TheSimba97 Here is the Chairman of the wartime Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral William D. Leahy:

It is my opinion that the use of the barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan.

  • @TheSimba97 Here is the Chairman of the wartime Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral William D. Leahy:

The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender. My own feeling is that in being the first to use it, we had adopted an ethical standard common to barbarians of the Dark Ages. I was not taught to make war in that fashion, and wars cannot be won by destroying women and children.

  • @TheSimba97 It did not have to be done

  • @Scootertuner1000 Look I agree but the only reason is that if the US did invade Japan they would have got alot more casualties along with japaneese casualties, and other ally casualties which would have been alot more than dropping 2 a-bombs on two cities

  • @joinesc The Japanese were about to surrender. Look up the treaty of Potsdam. It was completely unnecessary and was only done to tell the Soviets "don't mess with the US, see what we can do.

  • @Scootertuner1000 bs go usa fuck japan

  • @schutzstaffa Yes, that's a very intelligent comment.

  • @Scootertuner1000 You are absolutely right, the Japanese were about to surrender anyway. It was to show the Soviets, don't mess with us, look what we can do.

  • @Scootertuner1000 "Those who seek to argue that Japan was ready to surrender before Hiroshima are peddlers of fantasies. True, the Tokyo leadership wanted peace, but on terms rightly uacceptable to the Allies" -Max Hastings "Retribution"

    Even *after* H&N 1/2 J cbt Big 6 wanted

    emporer remains absolute ruler

    no occupation

    J disarms self

no war crimes trials xcpt in J tribunals

  • @kentamitchell Its was unnecessary . Killing women, children and old people is not how to win wars. Both cities were almost entirely full of women, children and old people. Most men of fighting age were not there, they were away at war. I won't argue with you about it, you won't change my mind and I know I won't change yours, so let's just save us a nonsensical online argument.

  • @Scootertuner1000 WRONG ANSWER! Hiroshima was the headquarters of the Japanese 2nd General Army, under Field Marshal Hata. 43,000 J troops were in the city, & >20,000 died in the bombing.

"...not how to win wars"? TOO FUNNY!

    8/6/45 Little Boy

    8/9/45 11am Fat Man

15 hours later 'god/man' hirohito gave the order to surrender

FYI by 8/45 J army was drafting 'volunteers' M15-60 F17-40

It is a terrible tragedy that the US did not have atomic bombs available 12/8/41.

  • @Scootertuner1000 Of course I can't change your mind- you simply haven't done your homework on the subject. Mark Twain said it very well: "It ain't ignorance that is dangerous, it's folks knowing things that just ain't so"

I'm certainly going to make the historical truths available to anyone who wants to find them.

  • @kentamitchell I have done my homework, look back through my posts. It is obvious I have done my homework, it is obvious I know what I am talking about. I have many posts on this video that show I know exactly what I am talking about. I said I wouldn't argue with you,and apart from this response, that's all you're going to get from me. I have already made my point in previous comments. A nonsensical online argument isn't going to happen. Don't be a troll.

  • Not to sound horrible or nothin, but i'm glad the americans dropped the bomb. i'm 12 and i knew that the americans did what they had to do. I cant imagine what the pilots were thinking when the mushroom cloud appeared.

  • i think japan got what it deserved as i am still 23 but i have read hundres and watches thousand documentaries of what japan did in asia especially in china

  • @ TheNintendonerd45 because if we didn't we would lose over 100,000 American Soldiers and those idiots destroyed our Navy at Pearl Harbor. We also warned them about the second bomb but they were to stupid enough to keep fighting.

  • @levolance With all this going on it was impossible for Japan to continue large scale war successfully. Japan had even tried to surrender before Hiroshima was bombed but the Allied powers would only consider Japan surrendered if Japan would agree to complete surrender. Japan was unwilling to surrender under those condtions and who would blame them. i would surrender knowing i had no say at all whatsoever in the peace negotiations.

  • HAHA those japs get what they deserve for attacking the U.S. BOOM!

  • that is so sad, why did we do this?

  • what about the survivors with cancer...us just wanted to text the bomb..and used japan as excuse..peal harbor was bullshit..staged to atack japan..

  • Victory

    Tactical Nuke

  • World war 2 , Japanese has killed too many people...

  • I'm sorry guys. I do not like that hundreds thousands upon thousands died and still are, but it ended a war, and why be mad at youth and even many elderly people. And the US is a democracy yet the government 70 years past (as far as I know) didn't hold a nationwide vote on it. Its the past, there is nothing we can do to change the initial act.

  • You shithats realize that people are still dying from this fucking bomb right? Yeah it sure as hell did end the war but it also killed millions of women, children and innocent men. This wasn't called for. If America's military power is so good then you fuckers should have fought them without killing millions and millions AND MILLIONS of innocent people.

  • Hey, it was a good of two evils. Yes, it did kill thousands of people. And yes, the effect still exists. But, how would it be if World War 2 kept going? The Japanese never surrender. They would first die before surrendering. As a statistic, only 6% of the casualties have surrendered, with 94% wanting honor instead of shame, by living. So that means more death on both sides.

If we didn't discover its true potential, then, we would have all died because of nuclear wars.

  • There was nothing "Good" about this bomb. War is horror. The bombing of Nagasaki/Hiroshima is the worst weapon mankind has imagined.

The death toll was NOT millions and Millions... but it is a moot point., it was a shitload of lives. Hundreds of thousands.

It ended a war. Nobody should say it was a good thing regardless.

  • The bombs were terrible. Truman's other options were FAR worse.

  • it wasnt the worst weapon - loot to the tsar-bomb.. they become bigger and bigger... but our world not *some people dont understand that*

  • it also saved millions of people more than who died

  • and invasion of japan would have worse

  • @ajgolfer1 but better

  • 1. Death toll from H&N was 100k-200k

    2. Consider Truman's other options:

Compromise peace? Militarists retain power, plan Pacific War II

Invade? S. Kyushu alone ould've been Okinawa x5

Blockade? How many MILLIONS of J civilians would've starved to death before hirohito gave the order to surrender?

  • moc slabé ale japonci maju silnejsie kukni japan atomic bomb part 1

  • The bombs served their purpose.

    They ended the war.

  • This video is not reliable people.

First of all; 'Just 260 meter from the bomb, the girls were protected by an earthquake proof building.. But i thought in a radius of +- 500 meters from the bomb the temperatures have risen to 4000 degrees Celcius?

    Don't believe everything you hear..

  • Earthquake proof building?

Dude....It's a NUCLEAR bomb for gods sake, it rips apart everything that comes in the way

  • Lol,, I was criticizing the video.. there weren't any earthquake proof buildings back then too.

  • oh, ok..sorry then :D

  • fucking violence, dude its not cool

    1:13 wtf

  • Damn bastards shouldn't have attacked us....better them than 1 more American soldier

  • pigmoslem you know you are the type of the worst human trash in this planet.Well if you are actually so american you must be a Christian and I guarantee you will go to hell....

Many innocent children die they did not deserve that.......

  • kenzues they attacked america and killed our boys that didnt deserve to die either chances are if that bomb hadnt been dropped half those kids would have gotten old enough and attacked the allies

  • you have a point but EVEN more kids would have died if we would have invaded. The Japs were training their people to fight to the death. Besides the war would have gone on for another 2 years in which 2X more Japs would have died. So even though pigmoslem is a total racist

Bastard he is sorta right it was GOOD for the civilians that lived in Japan that we bombed them.

  • You do realize, pigmoslem, that these innocent people didn't decide to bomb "us" (i barley consider you human let alone american)?

  • I remember learning about this in history, but I never could've imagine what it was truely like...

  • The poor Japanese....the American government didn't know what they were doing...

  • If I was the two girls, I would have thought that it was the apocalypse O.o..

So sad, this is what wars achieves.

  • Stupid violence.

  • @Nickygoesbald Over land. Religion and nothing more. its dumb.

  • Very interesting video.

  • good job !! thank you for posting it !!! very useful!!!
