That Late Hemanta Mukherjee was one of the best music directors was amply proved by the fact that Conrad Rookes came to India before making the film "Siddharth" in 1972.He was looking for good music composer for that film.Having listened to the music compositions of various music directors, he liked the songs of the Bengali films "Maruteertha Hinglaaj"(Pothher klanti bhule..) & "Neel Akaasher Niche"(O nodi re...) & decided to incorporate those two songs in the back-ground of the film.
