Controversial sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., declared President Barack Obama's birth certificate and Selective Service card fakes Thursday, according to the Washington Times. Arpaio says his investigators used law enforcement tools to test the authenticity of Obama's identity documents, working on their own time.
* The president's long-form birth certificate never existed in paper form, lead investigator Mike Zullo said, according to CBS News. He says Hawaii officials may have deliberately kept original 1961 birth records from being examined.
* According to ABC News, Arpaio said the date stamp and registrar's stamp on the birth certificate appear to have been imported from outside sources. NPR explained the basis for that charge, saying the stamps were on different layers of the document and could be moved about in editing software. NPR said its own test did not find the document to be multi-layered.
* A look a records for twins born at the same hospital as Obama one day earlier proved that there were microfiche records from the era, Arpaio told Phoenix New Times. Microfiche copies of the president's birth record have not been acknowledged to exist.
* The 1980 date on Obama's Selective Service registration card was created by cutting the date 2008 to read just 08 and flipping it to make the 80 portion of 1980, according to the Arpaio investigators. Zullo says the card "isn't just forged; it's poorly forged," according to NPR.
* Arpaio's team also claims Immigration and Naturalization Service international arrival records for the month August 1961 contain a gap- there are no records for the week of Obama's birth, they say.
Arpaio is subject to a federal grand jury investigation for abuse of power, unrelated to the birther issue, and several critics contend the beleaguered sheriff is seeking to draw attention away from his own legal problems with this investigation.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
So starts the Bill of Rights. This sentence, also known as the "establishment clause," is often misrepresented by the left to ban Christmas trees or a picture of the Ten Commandments, which are the basis for our laws.
What the left refuses to use the so-called establishment clause for is exactly what it was written for. The establishment clause was not written to protect the government from religion but to protect religion from the government. Taking over the churches is, in effect, what brought Hitler the extent of his power over the German citizens.
As reported by Renew America in 2008, "When Adolph Hitler took power in Germany, he recognized immediately that the major threat to his tyrannical designs would come from the church. If he could neutralize the voice of the church, he correctly reasoned, there would be no one else to stand in his way."
The Obama administration is attempting to do just that, neutralize the voice of the Catholic Church.
Attorney General Eric Holder announced Tuesday the Justice Department will defend the unconstitutional mandate that Catholic Churches, through their hospitals, schools and charities, offer free "birth control," as reported by Fox News. This is in violation of their religious beliefs, thus impedes upon their free exercise of religion.
Holder's statement comes on the heels of yet another in a long line of apologies from Obama to Afghanistan that resulted in the murder of four of our military personnel.
The apology stemmed from the burning of damaged Qurans that led to rioting and murder by a bunch of savages, yet there is no apology to Catholics for violating religious freedom. President Barack Obama also hasn't spoken out on the death sentence handed down to Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani in Iran for the capital offense of converting from Islam to Christianity.
The left-wing media is also jumping on the Catholic bashing bandwagon, as is evidenced by the Huffington Post where Catholicism is called "The Jesus-Eating Cult of Rick Santorum."

Such strikingly low growth has been in spite of (or perhaps partly because of) Obama’s $787 billion economic “stimulus,” a major portion of his historic deficit spending binge. Obama is already responsible for $4.4 trillion in actual or projected deficit spending, which amounts to deficit spending at a rate of 9.7 percent of GDP.
To put that into perspective, the only deficits in more than 200 years of American history that have exceeded even 6.0 percent of GDP have all involved either the Civil War, World War I, World War II, or Obama

U.S. House of Representatives investigations have revealed the failed green jobs initiative in President Obama’s ambitious environmental agenda. With an initial government cost of one-half billion dollars, evidence proves that only about 10% of sponsored trainees were placed in green jobs.
As part of the Obama green energy program, the goal was to train 124,893 people, and place 79,854 (64%) in new green jobs. After 17 months, the results of the green jobs program indicate that only 52,762 were trained, and only 8,035 got green jobs – each job costs tax payers about $62,000. Blind to the economic realities of global competition and the limitations of new energy technologies, the Administration’s reliance upon green jobs was just another failed progressive dream and pandering to the eco-vote – as was his cynical and partisan obstruction of the Keystone Trans Canadian XL Pipeline for petroleum products.
The Solyndra, First Solar and many other new energy failures are direct evidence of energy technologies that fail economic viability in today’s competitive global markets, even with massive government subsidies. Current solar and wind power systems still cost 3 to 4 times that of conventional coal, natural gas and nuclear power production. Further, the giant Chinese producers of solar panels and wind energy turbines have reduced production projections due to lack of global market demands.
President Obama’s first re-election campaign ad boasts of 2.7 million green energy jobs. But, nothing in the Departments of Energy, Labor or Commerce justifies such job claims. Obama appears to be losing his big green bet on his new green economy. Sadly, he’s gambling with your money and future prosperity to win environmental votes.

Second, Obama promised the stimulus would not only have a large impact but also an immediate impact. Said the president-elect, "I'm confident ... our 21st century investments will create jobs immediately," adding, "We've got shovel-ready projects all across the country."
Those jobs never materialized, and it was not for lack of workers--or shovels. As President Obama remarked in June 2011, "Shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected." He chuckled through the mea culpa, but it's no laughing matter. Obama failed to deliver--and at great cost to taxpayers
Third, President Obama said in February 2009 that the stimulus would lift "2 million Americans from poverty." But since Obama took office, 6.3 million Americans have fallen into poverty.
2010 U.S. Census data, the most recent available, showed that 46.2 million Americans were living in poverty. Worse still, child poverty has increased, rising to 21.6 percent. Many middle class Americans, unable to find work or decent wages, have fallen below the poverty line in recent years. It's the most tragic cost of this prolonged economic nightmare.
Fourth, the "green economy," Obama vowed, would create millions of jobs. The Energy Department has handed out $35.2 billion in stimulus money to jumpstart the clean energy industry, but it's created more red ink than green jobs. Nationally, green technology accounts for just 2 percent of employment nationwide and there has been no marked boom in the industry.
Those loans, however, have created quite the scandal. Nearly half a billion in taxpayer dollars was lost to the now-bankrupt solar energy company Solyndra. The company, which has since laid off over 1,000 workers, was Obama's self-described poster-child for "American ingenuity and dynamism" in 2010. Today, it's the poster-child for the hazards of reckless spending.
Finally, the fifth promise: one million electric cars. Obama promised the stimulus would put one million electric vehicles on the road by 2015. Last month, the Washington Post reported that "evidence is mounting that President Obama was overly optimistic" to make that pledge.
General Motors' Volt, expected to be a hybrid hit, fell far short of its sales goals in 2011 by 38 percent. Fisker Automotive, which received half a billion dollars of stimulus money, also fell short of its manufacturing goals. On top of that, instead of creating jobs in the United States, the company is building its cars in Finland. So the Recovery Act did at least manage to stimulate Scandinavia.
By now, you would think the president has learned his lesson: haphazard government spending cannot fix the economy. But in his budget unveiled Monday, Obama called for billions more in additional stimulus-style spending. At a time when Americans are demanding a more effective, more efficient government, he has chosen to increase spending and increase taxes.
That's not the recipe for economic recovery. The stimulus proved that much. Now is not the time for more of the same; now is the time for new leadership--a Republican president who understands the roles of government and the free market. In November, we can elect that president. And that would be a milestone worth celebrating.
In recent days we learned sales of the Volt and Leaf cratered, President Obama's failed green jobs program is under investigation, and another "clean energy" company's in trouble. Green is the new red.
Each week, it seems, brings fresh evidence that the Obama administration's obsession with so-called clean energy is an increasingly costly failure.
January car sales data out this week provided additional proof that consumers are turning their backs on electric cars, making President Obama's pledge to get a million of them on the road in three years look even more ridiculous.
Chevy sold just 603 Volts in January. (It sold almost five times as many gas-guzzling, 12 mpg Suburbans that same month.) Nissan moved just 676 Leafs, and the company hasn't sold more than 1,000 in five months.
And these dismal sales figures come in a month when overall auto sales were surprisingly strong — hitting a high not seen since May 2008.
Consumers' lack of interest in electric cars helped push another Obama-backed company — Ener1 — into bankruptcy protection late last week, despite the $118 million grant its battery-making subsidiary got from the Energy Dept. As the CEO put it, the company suffered a lack of demand, thanks to lower-than-hoped-for electric car sales.
An earlier Labor Department inspector general report found the program placed just 8,000 people in jobs after 17 months, or about 10% of the program's goal.
The IG went so far as to suggest scrapping the program altogether and returning unspent money to the Treasury.
Unfortunately, like a bad investor, Obama wants to double down on his failure.
"The payoffs on these public investments don't always come right away," he said in his January State of the Union speech. "Some technologies don't pan out; some companies fail. But I will not walk away from the promise of clean energy."

The Solyndra, First Solar and many other new energy failures are direct evidence of energy technologies that fail economic viability in today’s competitive global markets, even with massive government subsidies. Current solar and wind power systems still cost 3 to 4 times that of conventional coal, natural gas and nuclear power production. Further, the giant Chinese producers of solar panels and wind energy turbines have reduced production projections due to lack of global market demands.

General Motors' Volt, expected to be a hybrid hit, fell far short of its sales goals in 2011 by 38 percent. Fisker Automotive, which received half a billion dollars of stimulus money, also fell short of its manufacturing goals. On top of that, instead of creating jobs in the United States, the company is building its cars in Finland. So the Recovery Act did at least manage to stimulate Scandinavia.

By now, you would think the president has learned his lesson: haphazard government spending cannot fix the economy. But in his budget unveiled Monday, Obama called for billions more in additional stimulus-style spending. At a time when Americans are demanding a more effective, more efficient government, he has chosen to increase spending and increase taxes.
