Damn cant believe it has been nine years since we lost her. Seems like just yesterday she would have turned thirty in January of 2011. Wow how time flies, I still miss to this day. I still remember when I heard about her death I couldnt eat for three days and I cried and cried, I was 19 then, now I am 28 and I still love Aaliyah. Music is not the same since she left and doubt it ever will be again. Aaliyah was the greatest, but I wonder what would have happened if she wasnt takes away so soon?

@POETICPRINCESS2009 i agree i can't believe it's been 9 years since her death i remember when i heard about her death i was only 7 then but i remember like it was yesterday now im 16 years old i was in my house and i heard it on the news i was so upset, i STILL can't believe she's gone i cry everytime i hear this song it makes me think of my family members that are gone. =[

Aaliyah shouldnt have shot that video in the Bahamas she should have shot that in Florida at a Resort when nobody was at the BEach to interupt their filming it still would have been the same thing. @CarlaJou1 wrong...the song is about losing love. the video ended up being about Aaliyah in dedication. Jay-Z spoke on losing loved ones, Aaliyah and more included. i think that actually means more, showing love to everyone. i highly doubt Aaliyah is in heaven saying "no, this is my moment, forget everyone else's deaths"
