Yes, they had been settled there by the Ottomans after the deportation. However, when Balkan nations gained their independence, Circassians were resettled in the Middle East and Turkey. Yet few people still live there. A Macedonian friend told me of a Adyghe-Circassian village in Macedonia:)

no my friend, it is true. the ottomans settled us the circassians in the balkans since we were muslim and the balkans were chrstian. they figured that we muslim circassians would balance the religous tensions of the balkans...they were wrong because the circassians helped the balkans free themselves...

kosovo, bosnia, romania, macedonia and greece. these are all of the nations i am aware of, but many of them either moved down to grece after the war of independance from turkey, or went back to the homeland.
