well I hope she comes out ok in that investigation, remember, we are a society that is based on mercy, not guilt, - - "innocent until proven guilty", so Arenda Troutman is still an INNOCENT good citizen as there has been NO conviction !  We shouldn't kick people when they down ! She is a church going woman and let's give her a break.

Well, if she comes out of this -- and with a sharp legal team, it's a possibility -- I hope that for the rest of her working career she remembers what our mothers all tried to teach us: that we're judged by the company we keep.

But for once in my life, I'd like to live in a ward that runs so efficiently I don't even have to know who the alderman IS. And those of you who live in wards with really dedicated aldermen and precinct captains know exactly what I mean.

unfortuneately once your OUT in Chicago politics, your finished, it is a low probability she will be able to stage a political comeback, she might have to simply join the work force and work 9-5 like the rest of us UNLESS she saved all the money made during the political years { Alderman get paid 150,000 a yr } there is NO excuse for a Chicago alderman to not become a millionaire after about 7 yrs. She still has great potential, beauty and talent.

But there's still that federal investigation hanging over her head. Larry Bullock, Ambrosio Medrano, Mel Reynolds, Dan Rostenkowski, Tyrone Kenner, Miriam Santos, Betty Loren-Maltese, Lawrence Bloom(!); the list goes on. And the feds don't seem to show any particular mercy on women with kids.

I feel sorry for her, she seems to be a hurt woman who's life is in trouble, no doubt she started out well in her youth, educated, attractive, idealistic, - - so sad to see her melt into a shell of what could have been, - - according to media reports she basically hung out with some gang leader romantically or at least loaned the fella her vehicle a year or two ago, I like Arenda, just wish she had made wiser choices with whom she associated with.

The thing is, she did speak up for this community when IDOT wanted to close Dan Ryan ramps where the expressway runs through her ward. (Tillman kept her mouth firmly shut.) But with the problems drugs have caused in our neighborhoods, for Arenda to even associate with a known drug dealer is undermining everything neighborhood leaders and the police are trying to do.
