@ACEGR1 they are using highly calibrated galvanometers in this video - the galvos are what you hear that sounds like a very feint sounding dot-matrix printer. i expect the galvos are probably 60000 points per second or more.
could it engrave, carve, etch... in rounded objects too? make 3D egravings? cut? how small, big could it engrave? how long could it work without stoping? do you sell it and how much does it cost? Thank you
So much faster using galvos than an X-Y plotter type engraver...I love the sound the beam makes when it is engraving...yes - for those of you who haven't played with high powered lasers - they make noise when the strike things.
Yes, the path of the laser is very inefficient. This was due to the conversion process from a pixel based image to a vector based image. Since this video was taken, the entire process has been perfected.
The fill is incorrect on this, you need to take it off sort fill. Im sure you can see on the final product where the lines come together.

Damn, why can't Hi-Fi units be engraved instead of that stupid pad printing? Someone should provide it as a service for vintage gear!

@physicmad This is untrue what you are hearing is the q-switch mode of the laser. This is what operates the frequency of the laser.

here you see why laser is dangerous =) And a laser is the closest to a death-ray you can get!

Damn, that looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.

How much does this laser marking system cost though?

Nice video,
We make the YVO4 as well and engraves at the same speed. However our New condensed beam Fiber laser smokes everything I've seen.

I use Laservall etching/engraving lasers on a daily basis. They are very precise. I estimate .0003" to .001".
You can etch all sorts of cool things on a variety of media. Fun stuff.

Ottimizzando il file di marcatura i tempi si possono tranquillamente dimezzare ;)
