what books or audio would u pick to study i bout pimsleur but so far it's working and not working so i was just woundering what would be the best best to start with also cool video
Great video man! I loved the "Gimme a flake man!" at the beginning! I am learning Japanese at the moment, and you said that first you need to get hiragana under your belt if you wanna become fluent (which eventually I do) or you said something like that. I am trying hard to memorise and write all the hiraganaand I'm slowly getting there. :)
But I'm remembering katakana and a few kanji as well, now I'm not trying to tackle all three, but is it okay to collect that knowledge along the way?
I suggest JWPce from Jim Breen, a guy that did tons for the study of Japanese language in general. It's free on his sites, an electronic dictionary so to say - only with few dozen thousands of words more than any dictionary you hope to find for buys.
Whenever you hear a word you don't know, look it up just for the reference. Sometimes a few times again so you remember it next time you hear it.
cool, nice.thanks a lot!you just given me two big helps!do you think english grammar is harder than japanese grammar?how long have u been studying japanese?you looked profesional.
Lol idk, victor. I hate it when Japanese pride themselves on the difficulty of their language as well, but the way you described your proficiency in Japanese, compared to how good you are at it and how much better you are then the average learner, causes me to believe maybe it simply is hard.
You are the best foreign Japanese speaker I have ever heard of, your accent is great, as well as how you communicate, no1 is denying that, but after 16 years the way your described listening to the news or reading a news paper...
In the 2 years I have spent in Japanese it is actually amazing how little I know on the grand scheme of things, and for the 16 years you have (please take this as a sign of the difficulty and not your lack of skill) the % you know is amazing as well.
I want to add again that I am not mocking how much you know compared to how long you have studied but how much YOU DO know in comparison to how much there is.
I hope this makes sense.
For instance, Spanish has ALOT of grammar, but comparer to English's constant exceptions, it's a complete cakewalk (some exaggeration obviously...). So if someone knew as much Spanish grammar as English they would be more proficient in Spanish right?
ああいうpronounce in(aa)(i)(u)or(aa)(iu)or(aai)(u),it got three syllables in pronunciation, right?i was starting to learn japanese last week.i have a serious problem,it's my pronunciation.i have no teacher.i am just studying it by looking up websites and dic.can i really japanese by this way?i pronounce japanese words by forming romaji.i have no other way to pronounce japanese words but forming romaji.can you give me some professional opinions for me?Mr.victor.
is kanji, hiragana and katakana same pronunciation?if that word is tabemesu, then all other type of word also same pronunciation?just the writing not same,right?mr.Victor.

About english vs. japanese...
The English language is said to be the easiest to learn, yet the hardest to master.
I'm not sure if I believe that, though if we ignore kanji this may be true.

why such a low rating? :(

The pronunciation is VERY close to Spanish. If you must pronounce -- use the British vowels. Not the HARD American vowels.
