  • 15 people do not know what art is.

  • In crimson tide they say they are from Spain. But there not! Is it Hungary they are from then?

  • I show thus before it was aww some

  • Thumbs up if Crimson Tide sent you here.

  • @Greenlightandgo just this second finished watching it lol

  • Im sorry but the Lipicai horse is from Hungary and by the way great video ;)

  • @9GirL4 At the time of its breeding the map was different

  • @claoufaeng yeah , that's also true :)

  • @claoufaeng but the breeders were hungarian and because of this it makes the horses also hungarian and maybe the map was different at that time and the people had to speak german but it didn't/doesn't make them astrian :) I didn't mean to argue with you i just said :D

  • it is in Vienna... I went to see it

  • Beautiful. Absolutely stunning. There are no words for how talented these horses and riders are.

  • it's a barb horse

  • @adelking66 are you dumb blonde or retarded. its not a barb its a lipizzaner

  • i wonder if they ever practice bareback?

  • when i was on vaction in florida i went to a lipizzan show and they told us that only a select few can perfom those stunts because they have stronger hind and for legs and stronger bobies, and its takes up to 10 years 2 train 1 horse

  • seriously those thirteen people can go suck some eggs. they know no culture and appreciate no history.

  • My Lipizzaner stallion is trained by my dad like that. Its really cool to watch him.I love to ride like that!

  • @ruffianruleswolfrule lolol just how you talk we can call tell you dont even have a horse :P

  • i love thesae graceful horses they are so beautiful and talented and so are there riders i wish i had three tickeckets to go see The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions. these horses are so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllll and i am not kiding

  • This is really cool and my racking horse does the capriole when he gets mad. its so fun

  • thay were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cooooollll!!!!!!!!!

  • I saw them the only thing is that you can see there legs and hands move though they are better then most American dressage riders "They dont have they lower legs moving everywhere" their moves aren't invisible.

  • THE REAL one's are in Austria or so I think. The show that travels PRETENDS to be the real ones and THEIR horses are whipped to do this manuvers(SP?). I saw the "pretend one's in SF and was close to back stage. I was appalled at the whipping that went on and how one called baby - no matter how much she got whipped, refused to do what they wanted. If you see a lot of swinging of the legs and pulling of the reins then you are NOT seeing the real one's - or if women are riding!

  • @marespooscats Actually, they originate from Slovenia, which used to be part of Austro-Hungarian empire.

Lipica (pronounced lee-pee-tza, definitely not lee-pee-ka) is small Slovenian village, as shown on the map at the beginning and that's how they got their name. Many different breeds contributed to Lipizzaner, but the core breed is still native Karst horse. Karst is an area in the south-west of Slovenia.

I'm always proud to explain they come from Slovenia - my motherland.

  • @66wildrose Go, girl, spread the word of truth. Lep pozdrav!

  • These horses are NOT albino's or cremellos either - they are GREY born black or bay and fade to white as they are older.

IS this the REAL Spanish riding school as they don't tour but another group of Lipizzaners and andulusians & Arabs DO and they ARE beaten and kicked. I watched THEM being readied back stage!

  • My Trainer Traveled and peformed with them!!!!

  • @americangirldoll2012 no way !! thats amazing you are lucky !! :P

  • there amazing i went to see them!!!!

  • im going 2 c theim! i CANT wate!

  • Im so excited, I get the chance to go see them on saturday!!

  • greetings from slovenia..........

    nicely said!

  • Can I have one??

  • has anyone ever eaten a horse?

  • stupid video

  • @mateo7784 how is this stupid? gtfo if you dont like it

  • @mateo7784 I think its more you are a stupid person :)

  • my trainor told me 2 look this up cuz she said my lil quarter pony mare is like this! she could do some of the moves its pretty amazing

  • They are beautiful. I really want to see them for real now. :3

  • nice horses but never been a big fan of that breed :)

  • I've seen these horses several times, and I've never once seen them being mistreated. During the show, the horses are always enthusiastic and seem happy to do what they were bred to do. I even got to see them backstage after the show, and the riders untack and groom their own horses. The horses themselves were perfectly relaxed and not at all sour. They're downright spoiled rotten, if you ask me.

  • There is only one original stud farm - it's Lipica. :)

Oh, a spectacular new show is in sight on March 11, 2011 in Ljubljana's Arena Stozice, called Lipica in Ljubljana: Pride, Beauty, Courage. I bought my mother and father the tickets for their 30th anniversary!

Enjoy the virtual tour of Lipica... And welcome to Ljubljana and Slovenia!

    Cheers!

  • And they originate from the Karst region in Slovenia and only Slovenia :)

Lipica -> Karst -> Slovenia :) That is why they are named Lipicanci and that's the least. It's the terrain, see, it's quite unfriendly, very dry (the water disappears through the cracks and karst shafts into the underground caves), hard and rocky. The burja wind in the winter is cold and extremely strong. Check today's news - we had red burja alarm.. Our horses are therefore sturdy, resilient, calm, patient and tough.

  • My good people, (the) Lipicanci, this is how we call them in Slovenia, are taken care of really REALLY well. :) I've seen the horses in the Lipica Stud Farm and I know they live a great horse life. The foals, the mares and the stallions alike. I've visited the village of Lipica ( Lee-pee-tSaah) again this February 8th, when we celebrate culture here in Slovenia and the staff gave visitors free guided tours. e.g. retired show stallions -one is 30yrs old- receive guaranteed care for life. Cheers!

  • beautiful

  • amazing! i love them sooo much, this isnt cruel, its bond, they do it for their riders because they like it, if not they would buck or something.

  • this horses are original from croatia not slovenia they breed them in east part off croatia

  • true beauty!

  • This show was so beautiful, the horses were amazing. I saw it around 10 years old as a birthday present from my parents <3 <3

  • the next time someone says dressage is lame, i will remind them of the lipizzaners that are trained with these "tricks" to help the rider kill and injure people in battle

  • These horses are a gift from God. Just perfect so are the riders. I read that during the world war II they were hidden in a circus.

  • the horse weighs several times that of a human. If it did not want to perform a trick, beleive me, it wouldn't.

    Beautiful horses :)

  • Everyone has to admit that these horses do this sort of stuff with pleasure, you can tell that they are not in pain as when some people said in here. These are very cool horses, and I have to admit, they do it so smoothly! :) Its unbelieveable that they can do this! Go Lipizzaners! :)

  • used to work for these guys briefly. they are spoiled, but a lot of them are lame too. they get a lot of bute. they tour 9 months out of the year, so the legs of the tour are quite long for them. super sweet horses, but a tough life.

  • i breed dilutes, and have a stallion that is very rare according to kentucky animal genetics, hes got blue eyes, pink skin, but his genes say hes white.

albino is an old term not used anymore-lethal white has nothing to do with grey or cream genes,it has more to do with the overo pattern, and why you can have your horses tested for it

  • amazing horses.....

  • My mum used to work with these horses before she moved back to england! :D

  • A. Truly, genetically white foals are rare.

    B. White foals often die after birth due to "Lethal White Syndrome," a genetic disorder causing a non-functioning colon that often coincides with a truly white coat.

    C. So called Albinos and cremellos are not the "white foals" in question with this disorder.

  • BAHAHAHAHA!!! @rodeosabuseanimals- It makes me laugh to think that you think these horses would be capable of performing these feats while living in "cages" and having all sorts of health problems. These are prized horses who are treated like humans. If reincarnation is real, I want to come back as one of these horses. Yes, they are worked hard, but they love it. Many horses become depressed when they retire so we KNOW they love it.

  • AMAZING!!!

  • I saw this show they cane like 20 minutes away from where I live. Beautiful show! These horses are amazing and it's cool that they have an excellent history!

  • The moves were used in the war to injure other horses right? Actually if you see carefully, the riders don't push their heels down, not like we are supposed to do. : ( sad... i mean like, the stirrups will "come out " won't they? the rider should be trained to put their heels down. Just a suggestion.

  • @dinosafwong actually, they're using signals with their feet like that and if you get to watch black beauty when hes walking with the shoes on watch the riders feet, signals.

  • @dinosafwong I think they know what they are doing

  • Comment removed

  • there so cute!!!! <3

  • awesome

  • omg if i was i horse id love to be one of theese horses. they are treated like freakin kings. my cousin used to ride in theese shows and i got to go see it once and i got to go meet all the horses and riders :D i also brushed off my cousins horse :P but hes retired now ( the horse)

  • I've seen this show, it's really amazing...of course that was like 11 or 12 years ago. And to all those who think this is animal cruelty, get your head screwed on straight. I love horses, they're my favorite animal. This is not cruel at all. Horses are hard-working animals and Lippizaners are a sturdy breed that can handle all of the tricks they have them perform.

  • @misslenny23 And that can be well seen after looking at deformed neck vertebra and teared membranes covering them, also a hematoma in the place of the parotid gland. That's not all. All this "elegant art" falls apart after taking the iron off and therefore it is consistent only because of the discomfort causing cue system.

  • @Sarma1188 This does not involve cruelty or force - it's the same as if you practice yoga, with time & effort you can move your body into positions that are seemingly "unnatural" to the majority of the population, yet extremely beneficial for your health and posture. Humans and horses both are capable of a lot more than we may be accustomed to. And it's not only the horses that go through years of training, but also the riders & instructors of these horses. More than the average backyard owner!

  • @Sarma1188 You must be one of the ignorant back yard horse owners who has never even heard of preparing the animal. These people don't just go and fetch the horse from a stall and expect it to preform before being warmed up.

Think of it like an athelet. They stretch before they are expected to preform. If the animal where deformed, injured or any way shape or form uncomfortable then you wouldn't even see them because they simply wouldnt qualify for the show.

  • @Thrashmetal2010 wtf is your problem with this. there is no abuse and are highly prized and are treated wonderfully

  • these are hungarian horses thats why there not pronounced properly>>

  • I saw these a few years ago in Manchester, loved it and so did my OH! I was also lucky enough to see the Spanish Riding School in Birmingham the same year, made me cry! Would see both again any time. SRS don't tour England very often, so if you get the chance to see these, GO!

  • What is the difference between Lipizzaner and Andalusa?

  • @electricslipper The Lipizzaner is a finer version, bred for taking the bullet and such in battle as fine war horses

  • i went to see them they are amazing!

  • idk y they quit using dirt. but still an awesome show

  • zo zielig!

    dit is dierenmishandeling!!

  • i saw these when i was little it was so much fun!!

  • I love these horses! I got to go see them a little further passed Albuquerque at the Santa Ana Star Casino I think it was. Amazing horses!

  • Absolutely beautiful, soooo skilled!! come to new zealand :)

  • They've got great skill, form, and color! I've got some playing cards with them on it from my grandparents when they went to Austria! It's really amazing that they've got so much power!

  • I loved these horses! They were amazing!

  • i seen that its cool!!!

  • Im going to see them this year! I'm so excited!!!

  • They r so cool too see in real life the r so gracefull

  • omg i would LOVE to be able to ride like that and own one of those stallions!! AMAZING!! HAAH!!

  • ahaha. whaaaatt are you talking about? these are some of the most well taken care of horses in the world! they do not have 'cages', they DO have pastures. they have turn outs. no colic, but if you think about it all horses are open to colic. and all horses dont have EXCELENT health. they will get sick. so, think about it.

  • These horses are prized and treated better than some children. They are not caged and they do not have a lot of health problems. Do some research.

  • @luluannusa64 yes this is right i have been to paris and they have lipizzaners there my aunt and i went she is rich and i got 2 rid 1 bcs shes a top judge

  • @luluannusa64 also im a very good rider so i no what im doing haha

  • @jillysgem a good rider never says they are good

  • @luluannusa64 When they came to my town they stayed at the barn where I work. These boys are SPOILED!!!!! They do spend a lot of time in a trailer, but for that very reason they only tour for a little while at a time. They work in "shifts" if you will. One group of horses will do one leg of a tour, then go home to Florida while the next group goes on tour. Their trainers adore them. I have a couple videos of them on my channel if anyone wants to take a look.

  • @Pridefulpain Oh I know. They come through here all the time. Not only that but I know people in the business not only of these but with rodeo animals as well. The ones abusing the animals the most often are the every day owners.

  • @luluannusa64 Your wrong if treated better they would be in the wild...untouched by us for a freaken show...

  • @Wolfer47 Yeah because living in the wild fending for themselves is just wonderful also. Tell that to all the wild animals who struggle to survive, including wild horses. They starve, they have no one to take care of them when they are ill. And let's not forget the idiots who would shoot them for fun or food.

  • @luluannusa64

so when is shooting something for food inappropriate? how do you think humans got here today? and has it ever occurred to you that death via bullet is less painful than death via disease or starvation?

  • @springbreak203 I never said hunting for food was inappropriate. where did you see me say that? I'm sorry, I was watching a video and have seen shows with perfectly healthy horses. If you have seen otherwise then you need to report it instead of griping about it here.

  • @springbreak203 Shoot yourself in the jaw, see how less painful that is Via disease or starvation. For it to be less painful it should be an instant kill, which 90% of the time does not happen.

  • @luluannusa64 Struggle is nature without out struggle Ur living for nothing.... your just a machine doing same thing ,,, Wild is nature let it be....dieing is part of nature too

  • @Wolfer47 where they search for food instead of getting it given to them? when there is fear of being hunted which is removed when kept in stables?

  • @RooWallaby yes! exactly! instinct! not play a game that elders invented for us like the whole world does it brain washed you too much .. your blind.... Life must be Freedom and survival not chess.

  • @Wolfer47 you're blind not to realise that these horses have been domesticated over thousands of years and are use to captivity. I do not see anything cruel in keeping or riding horses. You my friend are the blind one.

  • If treated better you would be in the wild and untouched yourself, eatting worms, roots, berries, salted meats of a rabbit or perhaps boar is more your flavor. In you're little tent with dirt as the floor and a bear fur for a bed. Of course the life in the wild isn't without its danagers, so who knows how you will die! it could be anything. Hunted by wild animals. sickness -because of course no hospitals in the wild- or hey you may just starve to death over the winter! Gosh you are so abused.

  • @SarabiHawke yes exactly : )

  • @luluannusa64 they are really spoiled, have to say! lol

  • @rodeosabuseanimals

Yes, genius, because if they were kept in unhealthy conditions and colicked all the time, they'd be able to do this. These horses are beautiful and strong and they're well treated. Horses who are kept in awful conditions can't do this kind of stuff. If they have lots of health prolblems, then why do they look so healthy?

  • @rodeosabuseanimals Do some research, idiot. These horses are probably better off than you. :L

  • @rodeosabuseanimals These stallions are worth more than your house once fully trained. The riding school, if you look it up, treats the horses only slightly less than they treat royalty, Horses with minor genetic health problems in this breed are castrated and sold to the riding animal market where they're bought as highly prized riding horses, anything really awful and they're put down. These aren't rodeo horses, they're well kept.

  • @rodeosabuseanimals you're the bastard

  • @EbonyLover4Ever I love rodeo! :D

  • @rodeosabuseanimals wow your an idiot. that is like inposible for anything to preform if it lived like that. wow your an idiot.

  • @rodeosabuseanimals what in gods name are you talking about and where in the hell did you get those facts you ignorant twat?

  • @rodeosabuseanimals lol yup ur dumb i read all the slander people put on here about your comment and i wondered what could this dumbass possibly have said? and SURE ENOUGH just stupid as ever you are. These horses are worth hundreds of thousands and if u invested that much money into something you would not treat them like shit. I think you are a stupid ass 13 year old kid that doesnt understand money and PROTECTING YOUR INVESTMENT! so go educate your mind. NVM your IQ probably isnt high enough

  • I got to go see them twice! once last year and the year before! the first was in portland the second at the albany fair grounds! i love them they are stunning!

  • I <3 babe, he is the real star of the show.

  • I went to see these awesome horses In Maine Nov 1, 2009, and was stunned..

  • i had two but we had to give him and her away to a horse breeder we knew cause we moved to aussie

  • Comment removed

  • i saw them in owen sound, ontario where im from.. last year in the world tour.. they're aamazing (:

  • They are REALLLY impressive for those who haven't or will see them. My aunt was riding in the Austin, TX show a year or 2 ago and I got 1st row seats. Very impressive animals.

  • I'M GOING TO SEE THEM THE 15th. AM SO EXCITED!! I've always wanted to try out Dressage, I mostly do Saddle Seat though. Dressage looks so graceful though. ^^

  • I just recently went to see the show. I told my friend that Lippiazzans don't walk, they strut. I love horses. I have had a love affair with them since I was a child. I got to sit on a Clydesdale one time at the fair.

I was so close to them at this past show that I could have touched one, but I behaved myself, I did not.

    Crazy Kathy from Pa.

  • Absolutely beautiful creatures but I think all horses are - they are so graceful and elegant to watch.

  • for those who call them albino horses there is no such thing there is cremellos - which are white with pink skin and bright blue eyes!!

  • @jemma2kai7 ummmm yeah there is such a thing cuz I have seen one and no these are not it but they are beautiful horses.

  • That war about white/grey/albino is hilarious.

Can't we all just agree to disagree?

    (but there ARE albino horses)

Anywayyy, saw this show in 01. Most amazing dressage experience of my life.

I love the Andy's too =] I wish my Andy could do that =S

  • @leeshdiddy22 albinos are cremellos however cremello is the correct "horsey term"

  • @WeshMountainMinty

    Albinos are NOT cremellos.

Cremellos are not sunlight sensitive like all albinos are.

  • @WeshMountainMinty how does a cremello with double diluted genes for white, blue or brown eyes with some coat color become albino with no color, true white and pink eyed?

  • me too i just saw that in Fairbanks

  • Just saw the Lipizzaners world tour in Fairbanks Alaska this afternoon - awesome show - beautiful animals - they brought 6 up here including an Andallusan stallion..how cool - great show .....thanks

  • These horses are not albino. They are usually born bay, and then their color changes to grey, and then it lightens up to white.

However albino horses DO exist, and they don't die after birth....

there is a color known as Cremello which is albino.

type in google: albino or cremello horses

  • @melikesapplejuic They aren't true albinos however. Albinos have no colour pigmentation. Thse horses have blue (or wall) eyes usually.

  • @melikesapplejuic there is also a colour called "lethal white". Those horses have some genetic damage and they're dying after birth... This colour is rare but it does exist... (just take a look at wikipedia, there's the whole explanation)... ;)

  • @melikesapplejuic Actually, the albino gene does not exist in horses. Albino animals have red eyes. Cremello horses result from two copies of a dilution gene that makes chestnuts palomino. True white horses with brown eyes are rare and determined by a dominant gene (two copies of that gene results is lethal). Grey horses have a greying gene, also dominant, which results in the horse going grey over time. There are also lethal white foals caused by a two copies of the recessive Overo gene.

  • @josietrott Albino horses DO exsist! I think saw it in a book with horse breed's , colours and horse history!

  • @IraLive1 Here's a quote from the UC Davis Veterinary Genetics website.

In the presence of the dominant allele W, a horse from birth will typically lack pigment in skin and hair. The skin is pink, the eyes brown (sometimes blue), and the hair white. Such a horse is termed white (Fig. 1A). Sometimes such a horse is called albino. The W allele is only rarely encountered. All non-white horses are ww.

  • @melikesapplejuic Actually there is no Albino gene present in horses. If you are talking about a cremello, a cremello is a double dilute (CcrCcr). It has 2 of the cream genes. There is also champagne, which is again, not an albino, but they can have amber/speckled eyes.

If you are talking about the dominant white gene (W), there are horses out there that have it. They have blue or brown eyes, and pink skin as seen in the cremello and perlino horses. Albinism would have pink eyes.

  • @melikesapplejuic ya these horses are known as grey horses. not white.

  • @melikesapplejuic, sorry if i sound like a know it all or anything, but they are usually born black and then turn gray as they age but some rare cases are born bay

  • @melikesapplejuic

Cremellos are not albino, they are a double dilute.

Though, horses can be white; however, it is a genetic mutation and they are not considered Albino. There are no albino horses. Search for The White Fox for more information.

  • @melikesapplejuic My god who said something as stupid as Albinos die at birth?..lol

  • @Xiomacresteds Have you never heard of Lethal White syndrome? Look it up. It's a pretty big problem among Paint horses.

  • actually there's no such thing as an albino horse. true albinos lack pigment all over their bodies, including their eyes which is why true albino animals will have red eyes. cremello horses are NOT albino - their eyes are blue which is one clue. on the genetic level, a cremello horse is a horse which is chestnut but has two cream genes, which is what causes the very light, almost white color - the cream genes dilute the chestnut

  • @melikesapplejuic I heard they are usually born black

  • @melikesapplejuic im sorry i didnt mean to press vote down :( thums up!

  • @melikesapplejuic

Albino horses always have pink or red eyes, they have no pigment cells. Cremello is NOT albino it's diluted chestnut. There's also another commonly confused "albino" that is actually called Leucism or "chinchilla" that happens in lions, tigers, and zebra. Dominant whites are not albino either on a side note.

True albinism does NOT exist in horses. Perhaps it did at one time but not anymore. If Cremello is albino so are smokey cream, perlino, and smokey black. X_X

  • actually horses can be born albino but they die very soon after birth.

  • does it matter?? white/albino.. there is not point arguing...

  • SpotsRule98 and ZeldyZeZebra: get a life. no one cares

  • get a fuckin life. I have one with my "white" horse.

  • theres one in my neighborhood right now and I'm totally going to go!!!!!

  • i whant to go see a lippizan show. but it seems like im at a horse show when there is one so i cant go. :(

  • I just adore Lipizzaner horses, I take horse back riding lesson and just running with them through the track, & forests, are the best thing in my life it feels like your a princess/prince ^u^ Lipizzaner horses, they are just all soooo GORGEOUS!! I ADORE white horses
