on america's got talent, i think you should of done one of the gadgets at 0:50 (the moving pictures). artsy things like that could have given you the edge to get into the top 10 and maybe even top 4 :) long live the king

@jimmymakesyajealous I was trying to work in a Muybridgeoscope into the Wild Card herringbone gadget, but quickly discovered that if I made the frames big enough for the audience to see, then they didn't fall fast enough for the motion to fuse together...

@lunatim maybe a serious of small mybridgescopes joined together could create one big one. i also think that you could worked in some themes in the semi-finals (eg. the office). the gadgets are always amazing and its hard to step it up. i think a theme could have done it.

@jimmymakesyajealous There's no easy way to tile several small Muybridgeoscopes into a big one--I tested that idea already. No, I'd basically have to find another way to get the frames to drop fast enough for it to work on a large scale. As for themes, that might work for on-site gadgets, but isn't really practical for working on a stage--especially if I'm limited to a short build time and have to work around other acts...

@bellzluvz I'm flattered you found it cool, bellz. Useful? I made a career out of this getting on network TV and actually got money from this video in a contest. Even if I didn't, I get a lot of gratification from doing this--and that's all the justification needed. Also, clean up is maybe 1/25 to 1/50 of the effort of setting up, so it's basically nothing. On top of that, just because I have a geeky art form doesn't mean I don't get laid--heck, I've been married...
