@TheHEALYG I wasn't really taking it handy at all! But it wasn't exactly race pace either... You must have been shifting yourself on that lil' 400! ;o)
Good footage man, I was there in the green group that day first time there on a 600 machine done it in 1.20 secs need more knowledge as I couldn't really find braking markers and over shot the chicane once lol pulling 6th gear up the back straight, do I need a few more teeth off the rear sprocket ???
Hope to see more footage man top job, good luck with the racing.
@cormHRC600 Thank you for your comment! What gearing were you running in Kirki? It seems the gearing for a 600 is 14 - 46. As for the braking markers, I'm all over the place myself... I lost 5 stone over the winter so all my braking markers from last year are basically too early now...
As for more footage, keep an eye on my YouTube channel! I'm hoping to post footage of all my races in 2010! ;o)
Hey Raf! Yes, hoping to do a few rounds this year alright. Can't make Bishopscourt on the 20th March because I'm away but hoping to do Mondello on the 11th April!
Yeah great vid and a good day was had by all, i was there in the yellows for my first day of the year and what a day for it, roll on mondello on saturday
How many session did u have? U shud try more angles and edit the vid to bring even more excitement to it and buy a bigger memory stick! :) U definitely encouraged me to do a rear view next weekend again. brilliant, having the sundowner in the background!
at 5:09, the puff of white smoke is my engine blowing! No, only kidding, it's when I hit a patch of limestone powder the marshals had used to soak up an oil leak. ;o)
I have another few angles but I have to admit, editing MP4 files on PC ain't easy... :o(
Oh and yes, I do have a Dynojet QuickShifter (and slipper clutch so I don't have to blip the throttle anymore!)
Hey GernotDiver! Just realised I hadn't replied to all your questions!
We had only 4 sessions on the day and I used the GoPro on 3 of these.
Session 1: mounted on side fairing facing forward. Not happy with the video (very shaky). The mount is too long and unstable. Where and how did you mount the GoPro for the video of the track day (where you unfortunately crashed at the end)?
Session 2: mounted on seat facing forward (happy with video but not very exciting)
Interesting! I don't actually trust the suction mount but you're getting some pretty decent videos with it! Might have to look into this a bit more...
thats me there on 6.36mins wasant to bad took you bit of a while to catch me little 400 i was on put i recokn you were just takeing it handy :)

i used the suction and mounted it on the side fairings. worked very well. but i reduced the mount length by changing it around a bit.

I did 170mph having the suction mount & cam on the side fairing.. trust me mate, it works :P
