Sketchy physics was of course my inspiration. The software interface to the servos is via my dynamixel c/c++ library that I call from ruby. The hardware interface to the ax-12 is built from Arnaud's schematic. Search the robosavvy bioloid forums for information on that. You could also just use a USB2Dynamixel hardware interface since they are now available.
This is amazing, I'm a sketchyphysics fool myself. I checked out your website,looking for more information or maybe just a direction on how you interfaced your servos with sketchup.
