  • Oh yes! "Fuck Unions!" Indeed. Lets's all have a wonderful time living under a feudal plutocracy with child labor, no mimimum wages, no health benefits, 12hr days, 7day work weeks, no breaks, Zero safety laws........

Bring on the Pinkertons. Long live the prison industrial complex!! Feudalism!!

  • the only band along with the Byrds that can stand along side the Beatles. Long live the Davies bros!

  • God, I love this album.

  • Ray Davies writes stories, just not songs.

  • Fuck unions - i love Ray

  • I love this song but unions are necessary, in my opinion. Why don't the owners get any shit for treating their workers like garbage and firing everyone when the work is moved overseas?

  • @RDBeatnik And what about a right-to-work employer who got shot 2 weeks ago in Texas? What about the mob violence and riots from unions in Washington state? You seem like the type of person who doesn't know what they are talking about because they were indoctrinated by bad teachers (you know, the ones we can't fire because of collective bargaining.)

  • @Tedzeppelin93 I'm not gonna start an argument because that would be stupid. I think everyone can agree that online fights are both pointless and incredibly stupid.

  • one of their best albums.

  • I forgot to say thank you to ESaetre for uploading these very high quality recordings. I think that the Kinks were proto Punkers as made evident by the working class theme in "Get Back in the Line," and in Dave's hard driving rhythm through out. --MrMisanthropoy

  • "Original tea partier"????? Ray Davies thinks for himself. T brains allow the Koch Brothers and their ilk to do their thinking for them while ironically flying the standard for integrity and independence--a flag manufactured by slaves in third world countries. I live in a welfare state--a corporate welfare state-the USA. Labor unions of 60s England were corruption prone as were our own own. Beautiful music. Beautiful song. Beautiful sentiments?

  • Born in a Welfare State..., Ruled by Red tape and bureaucracies, controlled by civil servants, people dressed in gray, and that union man - he decides ,... if you live or die - or starve or eat ,... with Ray, its all about that brave new world and 'control' ,... There really would be no rock n roll today without the kinks and ray - the original tea partier ! for better or worse or ??

  • @GreenhouseEffectGE

Welfare state owns my body and my mind and my soul.

    "Second Hand Car Spiv"

  • KINKS > everyone else

  • That union man got such a hold over me , He's the man who decides if I live or I die, if I starve or I eat . What a great line ! Another reason why we do not need unions.

  • @rgjm266 Another reason why we do not need unions? You mean reasons like paid vacations, employer provided healthcare, maternity leaves, child labor laws, equal pay for minorities and women when they do the same job as a white man? I hope you turn all of these down at your job, otherwise you are not just an idiot, but a hypocritical one at that. Please go back to snorting your tea-bags and keep your ridiculously uninformed political opinions to yourself.

  • then he walks up to me and the sun begins to shine....

  • The thing I love about The Kinks is that you can listen to their songs over and over again and you can't get sick of it, in fact the song usually gets better each time.

  • @Dandyincursive . esp the stuff on this album

  • 2 people dislike ??????? !!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best song ever composed for the working man.

  • i I've heard some version in the BBC Sessions: 1964-1977. another great song from Ray.

  • Whats this song about? :S

  • Absolutely one of my favorite Kinks LP's

  • a masterpiece of a song from one of the best kinks albums (it's impossible to choose just one as "the best" as i feel many of their albums deserve that prize)

  • die Kinks begleiten mich seit vielen Jahren mit ihren wunderbaren Songs "Tag für Tag" durch mein Leben!

*God bless Ray Davies and The Kinks*!!!

  • 最高!涙が出る。

  • where would we be w/out Ray Davies?????This song goes to eleven-in my top 5 kinks songs

  • @oleshatterbutt. it IS very good.

  • awesome song!!

  • very very good. i love the kinks 5*****

  • brilliant song!

    I love it!

I love every Kinks song from "face to face" to "muswell hillbillies"

no other band gave such a number of brilliant songs to their fans!

  • Agreed :)

  • i agree with you

  • right- 6 albums in a row of brilliance without one dud song in the lot.
