I love the series, and I'm glad for the two new books (The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore and The Tales of Beetle the Bard), but I think it's only right that the series ended cleanly like it did, not trying to cling onto glory and fame like other series. once my school was holding an essay contest and they picked like 50 essays or something like that. and if you were in the top 50 you got to go on a field trip. i think it was to the staples center (this was 2 year ago). so then you would get an autographed copy of deathly hallows signed by jk rowling. and she was there. my friend was in the top 50 so he was going to go and he had the trip slip filled out and everything and then he was going to get on the bus and they said his name wasnt on there

@backfromwoodstock Dumbledore was never portrayed as gay during the stories development because he was never perceived as gay! If you know the "Untold" facts that the known author never mentioned in her media announcements then you would be able to understand why she used the suggestive power from a reader who questioned if Dumbledore was gay to gain some tension relief. The question may even have been provoked but Jo. Rowling destroyed the original creators characters well respected persona.

I finished reading the book... And all the sories are very fantastic and brilliant... It was such an uncommon tales that I've ever encountered.. One of my favorite story there was "Babbity Rabbity and her Cracling Stump" but other tales are all much fine, after reading all the stories i have my own few refelctions when i also read the commentary of Prof. Albus ..that's all

The two stories are about a boy going to a wizarding school but J.K Rowling didn't steal her story. They went in different directions... the surface ideas (boy, wizard school) are similar but the fundamentals and the messages they each sought to bring across are different.

That's like saying Stephanie Meyers stole Joss Whedon's or anyone else who came before her ideas of a vampire falling in love with a human girl in high school. Stories are always retold. Doesn't mean anyone's a thief.

you know what i think would be a good idea , is if J.K. Rowling continues the Harry Potter series but in Albus's point of view. Not Albus Dumbledore , Harry and Ginny's son. I think that would be soo cool because when they end the Harry Potter series , Albus is getting on the train to go to Hogwarts for his first year. they then announced plans for the book to tour childrens libraries (i think in america and maybe britain have no idea about other countries)

JK Rowling said on her official site that she was delighted amazon won and that the book would not be sitting in a vault somewhere

thats part of the reason for the success of the books, the way she holds it of and keeps us waiting, it was just the right length to get enough ppl hooked and it kept everyone in suspense and the more ppl talked about it it was just a big storm of frenzy, the formula to her success isnt that hard to figure out, you just need a book that everyone can realate too. it was in a fantasy world but at the same time it was like it could happen
