Over here in the states, CBS re-aired this episode on Christmas Day. I too thought it was "interesting" how the Newmans address the viewers at the end.

I always thought Nick got out of jail at the end of the summer of 1995. I remeber they found Amy who was the true culprit that shot Matt Clark and she was the one that could clear Nick. So how could Nick still be in jail all the way through Christmas?

I thought so I know I had to go back to school in August of 95 and couldn't see the rest of it I did'n have VCR in those days. How did he get out jail then? I thought Amy was his meal ticket to freedom from the slammer? Write back!!! :)

She was. She confessed after subsequently gettin better & leavin the sanitarium.

Thats what I missed then because I do remeber she was wondering the streets in a daze and they committed her to the hosptial. I last thing I remeber before I WENT back to schoo back then was Matt Clark snuck into her room and alarmed her.

Amy has a nervous breakdown after Matt Clark raped her and she shot him with the gun he was going to use to shoot Nick with.Somehow Amy ended up in Chicago with no memory of who she was and she was very out of it from what I remember. A lady found her and committed her to a mental hospital. I remember months of seeing Amy and these 2 psychiatrists trying to help her get better. Eventually Victor & Christine found Amy & brought her back to Genoa City.

Yeah & while she was in the sanitarium in GC, Matt Clark tried to sneak in there to threaten Amy I believe. Once Amy saw Matt Clark, she instantly remembered the rape and the shooting and screamed for help. Matt Clark disappeared and fled town! Nick was cleared of all charges. I'm mad I remember this so well!
