first time i've seen this show! definately eager to tune in for more future episodes. ...i'm looking forward to testdriving a 135, and if it is in fate's cards, i'd love to redesign it and bring back a leaner, more taunt looking front fascia as well. i fully agree about it's looks, sorta looks like it's too happy to take seriously. definately a successor to the e36 m3, what the e46 should have been.

I think it looks fantastic. If people were looking for a radical departure from Nissans' design philosophy then I can c y they may be disappointed. But look at the Eurotrash. How radically different is the 911 since inception? Do the Diablo and Murcielago and Gallardo look radically different from each other? No. just variations on the same "wedge" theme. How about Ferrari? F40, F50, Enzo. Nothing super radical there. But it's Nissan so it's ugly and uninspired. Rubbish.
Gotta agree - the GTR is unattractive (I won't call it ugly because it does have a couple good points), soulless, and something they didn't emphasize but should have - it's FAR too heavy. Awesome performance aside, 3,800+ pounds is just ridiculous for a modern supercar. That's more than a full size Buick for God's sake.

I agree that the GTR has AMAZING numbers, but i also agree with mike that its just not that good looking. I am die hard Ferrari fan, and even if that smoked a ferrari, lets say an f355 (evenly priced now) on the drag strip (355 does about a 12.9 1/4 mile) or even on a track, i would take the ferrari in an instant. The GTR i feel, from looking at it, lacks style and passion in terms of looks. I want to like it, but i agree it looks like a really fast maxima.

performance lends more to the car being in the supercar category, than looks in my opinion. Also the GTR line (skyline R33-R35) has never had that "supercar" flash, but had the performance.

I have sat in the car, and felt all the interor materials. Your describing it as "plush leather" speaks volumes as to how little you actually know about the car. The Porsche's interior is leaps and bounds better. I happen to like the GTR, but the car's high point is its drivetrain, not its interior which is on par with other Nissans, not Porsches.
the gtr is a drivers car, they even said when they were creating it that they were trying to appeal to the playstation age group. The styling follows the way nissan/infinity cues that they have been going. But to say it looks anything like a maxima is absurd. The interior is still very high quality, but you have to understand 2 things, first, for $70k, no other cars out there that look at nice and perform at this level(r35>z06), and most of that money has went into the development,transmission

I think it looks fantastic. If people were looking for a radical departure from Nissans' design philosophy then I can c y they may be disappointed. But look at the Eurotrash. How radically different is the 911 since inception? Do the Diablo and Murcielago and Gallardo look radically different from each other? No. just variations on the same "wedge" theme. How about Ferrari? F40, F50, Enzo. Nothing super radical there. But it's Nissan so it's ugly and uninspired. Rubbish.

Gotta agree - the GTR is unattractive (I won't call it ugly because it does have a couple good points), soulless, and something they didn't emphasize but should have - it's FAR too heavy. Awesome performance aside, 3,800+ pounds is just ridiculous for a modern supercar. That's more than a full size Buick for God's sake.

I totally agree, the GTR is an amazing car, no doubt about that. Fanboys need to get over that, no one is bashing the ability of the GTR. I get that its cheaper and faster than it's competition, but it doesn't have the presence. The r33, and r34 had more presence. They tried to make it look classy, but it just looks ricey. So what if your car is better than my porsche? My 911 looks like a high end supercar, and your GTR looks like a cheap, over done, sports car.

I agree that the GTR has AMAZING numbers, but i also agree with mike that its just not that good looking. I am die hard Ferrari fan, and even if that smoked a ferrari, lets say an f355 (evenly priced now) on the drag strip (355 does about a 12.9 1/4 mile) or even on a track, i would take the ferrari in an instant. The GTR i feel, from looking at it, lacks style and passion in terms of looks. I want to like it, but i agree it looks like a really fast maxima.

Kinda like my opinion of the Veyron. I love the stats (speed, cornering, ect). But HATE the way it looks. It just looks pudgy, not at all what (in my mind) a supper car should look like, witch is sleek, long and low. I gotta admit that rear spoiler is so cool though! I have sat in the car, and felt all the interor materials. Your describing it as "plush leather" speaks volumes as to how little you actually know about the car. The Porsche's interior is leaps and bounds better. I happen to like the GTR, but the car's high point is its drivetrain, not its interior which is on par with other Nissans, not Porsches.

the gtr is a drivers car, they even said when they were creating it that they were trying to appeal to the playstation age group. The styling follows the way nissan/infinity cues that they have been going. But to say it looks anything like a maxima is absurd. The interior is still very high quality, but you have to understand 2 things, first, for $70k, no other cars out there that look at nice and perform at this level(r35>z06), and most of that money has went into the development,transmission

Mr. Angry is the freakin man. But for as ugly as it is that GTR is making alot of people feel really good. You got the Vette for the purist, power at a low price . Now you got the GTR for the tuners, performance at a low price. Let it be ugly I 'll have a wide grin as I blow past everybody in one. We all thought the Cayenne was pretty awkward when it first showed up.
And what is Mr. Angry Inc. about ? Is he selling merchendise now?

well intentions aside its a factor when it comes to fast cars. they gotta look good. i dont doubt its a beast i just would like to see one that looks a little nicer thats all

Nice, cranky no disappointed yes. What I would love to see is "mr angry" pull up in his 1 series BMW or even a new Z06 Vette with his girl in the car. Then she can watch me blow the doors off his Ferrari wannabe.
