  • you could make and sell them, great job.

  • @mrrabbiteye Cheers mate,i have thought about it but due to so many different design and size camera's it would require the customer to lend me their cam so i could measure it up, not so bad if their local to me but sods law puts many out of reach and posting is too risky.

  • Some great tips there m8 Cheers. I have been thinking about fixing my Cam on the Scope. I think using the silicon tube is a great idea I may try that later 5*

  • @TamrynRimfire well good luck mate as you cant beat the scope cam view just the recoil issue to deal with but the foam padding should be good as long as you dont use a hard drive cam.

  • @ARCEYE78 My Cam is a hard drive what is the problem with using them?

I got the cam for xmas so dont want to destroy that.

  • @TamrynRimfire oh dear :/ they are fragile and dont like shock as it will destroy the hard drive, best to use a cam with flashmemory or SD cards as they are much more resistant to shock, i would just clamp it to a spotting scope aimed at your target otherwise a new cam is on the wish list, i need a new cam :/ i dont have the sony no more which is frustrating, just a basic one for now.

  • hey mate, nice bit of kit that, make another and sell it to me lol.. really would be interested in one of these! good vid

  • hello mate how are you? good shooting/hunting and a great xmas i hope :) well im getting rid of this cam and replacing with a proper camcorder but this was custom made for this cam so not universal fitment, if you were close enough i would knock one up for you, would not want much for it.

  • @ARCEYE78

yeah cracken xmas mate and new year, and yourself?

what cam you going for mate? ive not been hunting for a while weathers been shit here.. ive got a few vids in the pipeline... so if you get a chance check them out.. oh i have a new rifle now lol all will be revealed

  • very good mate and same here with the shite weather :/ i look forward to your vids as its been a while :) not sure what cam to go for but not wanting to spend too much over £200 but i'll be mounting it direct to scope like cubleycats.

  • @ARCEYE78

i bought the kodak md41 from currys, was on offer.. 12mp.. not sure how it compares to your sony? but has youtube button on it to directly upload to youtube

  • p.s this is dopedemand but signed in to wrong acount lol

  • I did wonder:)

  • well i got the loo roll mount finishged but i dont hink its really any use lolit fits on both the scope and the cam, but then i tihkn it must move as the crosshair are in the top left of the cam screen lol and out of focus too =\ il crack it one day lol

  • you cam is prob slightly out of alignment,on my custom mount i have to spend time getting it set up:/ and even then it can still move, try if you can adjusting your settings mine is set to focus at 0.5mts but even then its not great and also play with the distance the cam is from the scope mine is about 2inches,it will b a pain as you can see from my practice shooting vid where you can hear the tape stretching when im moving it back after each shot but it did the job...just

    good luck :)

  • nice video mate, it looks like an awsome mount you have made!!

  • Thanks D d gotta get me a proper camcorder now with better zoom and pic quality and then i can use a more solid mount like cubleycat uses or just have it mounted on top of my scope,

let me know how you get on.

  • yea thats the prob i have too i dont have a proper vid cam its just a digi cam with good film capability on it, im collecting my toilet tubes now lol, il make somthing out of em i can asure you lol i feel like ive gone back to the 1970`s when blue peter was still on tv =P

  • Blue peter LOL!! the toilet roll tube was ok just taped it to the cam after making it a tight fit on the scope but as you could see from my earlier vids it moved about quite a bit but still worked, look forward to the finished job:)

  • nice bit of engineering 5*

  • Thanks mate:)

  • Great video. If only I had the skills / equipment to make something like this, I really want to film some rat extermination but I can't hold a camera and a gun. Hopefully I'll be able to knock something up with what I've got. 5*

  • Thanks mate you probably have the skills just need to have a go,starting with card is always a good way for template models, once a card model is right then try thin ally as that can b bent real easy,if you fancy having a go i'll b more than happy to help if you need it,i uploaded this vid to show a previous guy how i made it:)

  • Thanks for the link to y request mate. Nice work, always spot on commentary too and had to laug at the cat's agreement towards the end.

  • thanks uklp i do a few gates & railings myself and various other stuff and yeah it can be hard going especially when we do structural steelwork but i do love the heavy lifting and being in this trade is very handy as i have many tools and machines to use for homework even a laser profile cutter which i used to make the wheels to my cannon:)

  • thats a nice upgrade from the bog role lol.

im gonna try and make one too. wont be as high tech as your though. btw your other videos are really good.

  • thanks i'm glad u like em,btw if u use thin allu sheet eg 0.8-1mm which most metal fab factories will give u offcuts4 nothing if u ask nicely it will b much easier 2 bend, tube can b from many things eg card tube from foil, clingfilm,BOG ROLL:)ect&then cut 2 size,re-enforce with pva or resin,stick2mount with resin(5min epoxy)make sure u roughen up mount before gluing with s/paper,use metal coat/hanger 4clip,good door draft excluder foam 4shockabsorb,hope that helps, anymore advice give me a shout:)

  • thanks, yeah a 6-24x50 or 8-32x would be very nice for my long range shooting:) i would probably have to make another cam mount.

  • lol thats really cool use super zoom scope
