I enjoy this style of duet singing where people don't close harmony. I think you're pretty good at it. You've both got distinct voices and harmonising too much would spoil the fun. Your voices do "gel" in way that creates a pleasant sense of "harmony" - if people stop looking for "vocal harmony".

It's great song, but I agree with gnowynnus, chemistry is just not there. It's like you guys are more focused on hitting notes and maintaining the timing individually instead of finding a collective "voice". Ya'll are super talented individually and on to something, just spend more time vibing and it will come together. If either of you need original production of songwriting, holla atcha boi. You got skills that I would love to help bring out and make your own...
