Well there is no one who can touch her on the hammond organ, but...........this keyboard is a drag. She is marvelous at the Holy Convocation and sitting at her Hammond.
twinkie clark is a third strong soprano shes is the choir be nice to here niecy karen twinkie hiting soprano all together jackie sanging the bassline and dorinda on alto wow that will be something to hear
don't feel bad most don't know the depth of twinkie's vocal ability because she rarely do alot of runs like karen does! Twinkie just out right sing so when she does feel like giving us a run it's outstanding!! Twinkie is the one who use to always give her sister's there parts which usually always includes a good run! so she can go with the best of them and can go from bass to high suprano if that's such a thing lol!
No reason to compare her to her sisters or to imply that one has more anointing than the other because you really don't know. Everyone has their preference. Some may like Dorinda more, Karen more, Jackie more, or Twinkie more.
She is the true singer of the family. I feel she could have made it in any genre of music she wanted to sing. She has a great tone, upper register, lower register, she knows when and where to riff and run, and she is just a great singer. I cant believe people actually think Karen can beat her singing.
people just say that because karen does her riffs faster and does crazy key changes and stuff but the anointing is heavy on twinkie, she wrote every clark sister song!
well i begg to differ that she wrote every clark sister song... the others wrote some as well including their mother. now she did write the majority of them, i'll give u that!!!
Twinkie Clark HAS written all of the Clark Sisters songs. In addition to producing and arranging all the music and vocals on all of those songs. Karen and Dorinda has not written any Clark Sisters songs except for a song each on the new Clark Sisters upcoming reunion album. Those are the ONLY Clark Sisters songs written by Dorinda and Karen. All the Clark Sisters songs that we have come to know and love was written by Twinkie Clark.
Your zealousness on this topic is appreciated but it is incorrect. "It's In the Name of Jesus" has never been recorded by the Clark Sisters. Dorinda wrote and sang that song on Mattie Moss Clark's SW Michigan State Choir album. It is NOT a Clark Sisters song. It's just a song Dorinda wrote on her mom's album. The Clark Sisters music was written, produced & arranged by Twinkie Clark. Sorry that you refuse to believe that.
Absolutely nothing. Just as long as it doesn't get too out of hand, then I would delete it. Under my account people can DISCUSS and add a little FUSS just as long as they don't CUSS.
Unless you meant do I have an opinion on what songs Twinkie wrote for the Clarks.
If that is what you meant by your question then Dahverin is correct. From 1978 "Count It All Joy" album to 1989 "Bringing It Back Home" Twinkie wrote all the songs except "God's Greatest Glory" which was on 1986 "Heart And Soul" CD. She also produced those projects. Dorinda wrote "It's In The Name Of Jesus" on Mattie's 1984 "Humble Thyself" album. And Dorinda also wrote songs for UNAC recordings.
Yes, that is what I meant to ask, just what you provided to us in terms of a chronology of song writing contributions by the Clark Sisters. Thanks So Much! I appreciate you for your responses.
The Clark Sister recordings prior 1978 "Count It All Joy" album were also written by Twinkie such as "I Can Do All Things Through Christ", "Hallelujah" and the old deacon favorite "My Mind Is Made Up" but she also rearranged songs previously recorded by her mother for the Clark's earlier recordings. And of course it is now obvious that Twinkie, Dorinda and Karen are all awesomely anointed songwriters.
actually that's not true. dorinda wrote In the Name of Jesus, which is a clark sister song, that was sang by a lot of choirs and groups in the 80's. But Twinkie did write most of the songs, and pretty much all of the popular ones.
Karen can't sing with Twinkie, Twinkie let her baby sister have the lime light because she's only interested in worshiping God..
