  • Dam they are quiet..

  • Battlefield players will be forever thank full to Sweden for the Carl G lol

  • love the PINGGG when it fires haha

  • omg this is awesome.

  • Tegerahandskar <3

  • LADDAAAAA!!!! !!!!

  • HECK! You even reload it like you do in Far Cry 2!

  • Carl Gustav, still going strong 60 years later!

  • @JaggedTusk And even though Far Cry 2 is the most annoying game to play due to the enemies, the guns you get to use in it makes it the most fun!

  • Man I shot these thing when I was in the army, but that was 1987 or something!!! Great fun too shoot.

  • Yep, Scandinavia make the big guns then the big nations use it. :P

  • Can that round take out MBT ?

  • @ludgidia123 yes, old stuff like M48/M60/leopard1/T55/62 but for a modern tank, hardly at first shot.

  • This feels like BFBC2...

  • Well the bell sound when you load it you dont want in combat.......so you put a rubberband or somthing around the cone....

  • The 84mm sounds like a fucking BEAST

  • I heard the Carl Gustav m48 rounds costs about 5000 SEK each. Just think about how much this exercise costs :d

  • @EloTheMan1 these are not live rounds. they are cheaper exercise rounds. otherwise sweden would have been bankrubt long ago :)

  • Ting! Ting! Ting!

  • 84mm or 86mm ?

  • @GhostRecon511 84mm

  • For you guys who don't speak swedish: "Skott kommer" mean Will shot and "Skott bakåt" is said to inform that the blast from the grenade is comming and that you should get the fuck out of the way! xD

  • @MrMegaMarten Will shoot*

Lite mer logiskt?

  • -de e lite trasigt mål det där.

    -ja, du skjuter för bra.

    fan så go!

  • I can sprint while reloading this beast then fire it while jumping in the air. BC2

  • love the sound! :D

  • dring dring !

    yes ? booommmm

  • i comme from Battlefield Bad company 2 :D

  • Satan i gatan vad det smäller :-)

  • That thing's like a damn bell ._.

  • From the movie War of the worlds: "Bring out the Gustav"

  • Haha, everyone in sweden has m48 ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @raskpask No.

  • I fired one of those today, Training rounds though

  • 5:12 SKOTT KOMMER! KLART BAKÅT!..........KLART BAKÅT "BOOMMMM"

  • enemy knows to run when the bells are ringing

  • PIUUUMMMM!

  • *PLING*

  • Ring my bell

  • lol i like javelin more

  • @usukker What?

  • @TheMike00Jones i just said i like javelin messile more than this one

  • @usukker Javelin is a completely different type of weapon, the Carl Gustav m48 can be modded to be without any lock on mod, (like you see in the clip) and can be fired on almost everything.

  • @Sthlmsodra87 i know, carl gustav is a very powerfull weapon. but i like how javelin sound when you fire it. like: tick........................shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....BOOOOOOM!! lol

  • triiiiinnn!! klart!

  • Niin, tuota närettäkö ne tulitti sen 7 minuuttia???? XDD

  • thats so much money its like 1,200 dollar a round

  • worst cammo in history

  • @Valkmir eh well we dont use it for fashion........we use it becuse it works :P...if you use camo just to look cool you just gona get youre self killed :P.

  • @Valkmir Clearly you don't know what the hell you're talking about. The M90 is probably one of the best and nicest looking camos in the world with its straight lines instead of curvy fag patterns like rest of the worlds.

  • That is just the tits.

  • of course you dont stand behind it, your insides would rupture.

  • when i get in the army ill be firing those babies. thanks Sweden for giving America the AT4 and Carls G.

  • @DaddyLongLegs44 hey no promblem usa

  • @DaddyLongLegs44 well we dont give you the weapon system :), usa buy the first weapons now they have made over 300,000 in the US locally, under license by ATK,cost around 1.500$ per unit. Now we also have AT4-CS(Confined Space) so you can use them inside buildings(you dont want to use a old at4 inside a building) Also AT4-AST (Anti Structure Tandem-warheads) is under develoment, with 2 warheads one for mouse holing a building wall for combat entry. and one with delay for destroying bunkers. :)

  • @KarILsson cool, more options for destruction.

  • @DaddyLongLegs44

    Varsågod! :)

  • @DaddyLongLegs44 Firing is the easy part, crawlin around with the gun on your forearms in the dark in 3 feet of snow and -35 C is the hard part. I hate that fucking gun

  • @sweddehli what would you prefer to take with you in 3 feet of snow and -35 C that'll fire in that climate and blow the shit out of your target? Nothings more reliable and deadly than the Carls G.

  • @DaddyLongLegs44 In case you ever need to breach a door - use the back blast :P

  • @DaddyLongLegs44 no problem ;)

  • @DaddyLongLegs44 You're welcome.

  • Ah gamla bettan :D Henne minns jag väl! Vilket djävla drag!

  • now it has been adopted much more broadly by the US Army than only Special Forces, etc.

    Good video! ^_^

  • @username42a about 3 seconds.

  • Hey?? Ehy havent you made MAG or "belt" fed models, semiauto : backpack like with minigun or so could reserve around 10rounds. Atleast exoskeleton inf could use as mainweapon?

  • "Panzershrek MKIII"

  • battlefield bad company 2 brought me here

  • I love when they're done reloading they tap the launcher and the guy XD awesome sauce

  • @adit1996 ... First they push in the lock for the loading chamber (black thing on the top). And the shoulder tap is because the shooter should be aware that the weapon is loaded if it is very loud surondings. Here it's just for practise habit as they would do in a real war.

  • I hate this weapon. I hated carrying the heavy piece of crap all over Germany in the late 80's. I especially hated dragging it around knowing it was already outdated at that time and no use against a MBT. Fun to fire, though!

  • @442hoeky You dont think it could take out a T-72, T-64, T-62 or T-55?

And if it was outdated 25 years ago, then why is it still deployed by up to date western militaries?

  • @CarlAlex2 It has it's purposes, yes, but it's not going to do much against an MBT's frontal armor - not even the older Russian models. Granted, they've improved the rounds for it (the RAP rounds are nice), but it's not really an anti-tank weapon any more, so to speak (although a side or rear shot can do some damage). Try carrying one on 20km fighting patrol that lasts all night and see how much you like it, though! I'm afraid I'm a little biased towards this weapon! :)

  • @442hoeky As an unfrocked AT gunner myself I know enough about lugging the Carl Gustav (the real steel M2 - not the girlieman plastic M3 with 2/3 the mass) with tools, sight, night sight and laser range finder around.

In todays world I'd probably want to change the ammo load to contain less HEAT and more HE - an 84mm airburst will really mess up an infantry target.

And imagine what a HEAT round would do to mr. fuel truck - the weak point of the Abrams.

  • @CarlAlex2 The NZ Army still has the Gustav, the steal one

  • *kling*

  • lol the trees are shaking when fired .....fucking beast!!

  • oviosly a rifle

  • 2:00 dosnt seem recoiless to me... But recoilless enough to blast some tanks!

  • @jamoy1993 It's not so much of a recoil but the weapon becoming unbalanced at the moment of discharge due to the weight of the grenade as it travels through and leaves the barrel.

  • Kul film, tillbaka till lumpen !

  • The loader must stay close to the shooter. Not run away. :-)

  • nazi norge

  • @meesees You would still die if you stood behind this weapon because of the back blast :/

  • @SonOfAWhisker Nah - if he stood close enough it might just rip of a leg or an arm.

  • @CarlAlex2 Lol

  • LADDA!

  • why only 6 rounds per day? i dont see how it can affect on vital organs of shooter

  • @KRAUSER0130 I think it's becuse of the shockwave Becuse apparantly the camera man and the loader have to move.

  • @KRAUSER0130 Have you ever been close to one of these being fired?

With a recoilless rifle you are subject ot a significant blast effect when firing it - its like somebody beats you all over the body at once. The dammage done by a single blast is insignificant, but the cumulative effect will cause fatigue and I have met people reporting nausea and diarrhea for a few days after being close to more than the 20 max allowed here per day.

Imagine what being punched repeatedly in the gut would do.

  • @KRAUSER0130 Let's do a simple test. Grab a speaker of good quality, put on something with a lot of base, put the speaker against your chest and turn up the volume. Let us know if you get any discomfort.

The shockwave blast is intense and will clear your nose if you got a cold, for sure. When I did my basic training, back in 1998 they hadn't implemented the 6 round rule yet and some actually got nosebleeds when firing this gun for no apparent reason.. Shockwave, a invisible killer.

  • @KRAUSER0130

Looks like you have never fired one.

  • @cleticprincess1956 no,never had chance

  • Old & cheap, but gets the job done like no other.

  • Gustav & rpg32 i think 2 most useble stuff for today.

  • Watch RPG-32.

    Also cool!:)

  • SWEDEN ROCKS!

  • i love how it slides in

  • @Leopardipzg that's what she said ;)

  • this is not a anti tank weapon...use it at a modern tank an u will regret it, its a APC destroyer. But a very good APC destroyer.:) Maybe u can "fimpa" a T72 with it if u are lucky. or a leopard 1, the danish soldier on the tank show us the week point;)

  • @MrMadhouse70 Indeed. If you are to engage a tank with the m/48 you need to be in the targets rear and have 4-5 teams hitting the same target with 2 rounds each.. and even then you still need a lot of luck.

  • save us in bosnia 93

  • in Canada we call it the snot sucker :p Clears your sinuses right up!

  • @BeigarthTV And why would the Carl Gustav with 3 times the effective range of the RPG-7 not be better for offensive operations? Its not as if the single guy running around with the RPG and ammo has tho carry less weight than the Carl Gustav gunner - quite the opposite actually esp if its an M3 Carl gustav.

  • noob!

  • without optics? so poorly

  • @RobotN001 There are optics to the m/48, however, Swedish firing protocols dictate that you use iron sights for better target tracking when firing at a moving object.

  • Can that really take out a tank or does it only damge it.

  • @TheMike00Jones depends on the tank and where you hit it

  • @TheMike00Jones A modern tank can absorb a lot of hits from a m/48. Back in 1998 when I did my training I was taught you need at least 6 solid hits and armor has been improved since then.

  • @tolwyn9999 Wow is the M1 Abrahms the toughest and most expensive heavy armoured tank in the world?

  • @TheMike00Jones I'd rather fight from a Leopard 2A6

  • @CarlAlex2 I prefer an Abrahms myself.

  • @TheMike00Jones The Leo 2A6 has better mobility, more firepower and the same level of protection as the M1.

  • @TheMike00Jones Hmm.. Straying a bit from the path, aren't we? Like every weaponsystem it has its weaknesses. A quick google suggest that the M1 isn't to happy about RPGs and mines.

  • @tolwyn9999 Why is it off the path? You were the one that was talking about tank armour!

And this vid is about an anti tank weapon so...

  • @TheMike00Jones Yes, it is about a anti-tank weapon. If you wish to compare specs and discuss the M1A1 MBT there are lots of videos featuring that beast.

  • @tolwyn9999 Abrams

  • @tolwyn9999 I love the Abrams!

  • SVENSKAR :D

  • @BeigarthTV

Hmm you seem to not know much about the Carl Gustav, you cam operate it alone and there is allot more variation in rocket types for the Gustav as well, there are easily over 10 types of warheads and rocket types, at least 3 types for defeating various types of armor, bunker busting rounds, 3 types of HE and HEDP. You can google Carl Gustav ammunition types and probably find more but it is a very versatile weapon and far superior compared to the RPG.

  • Love the sound

  • krippelkut? lol in my language (dutch) that sounds very funny 1:20

  • @Fangornmmc He's saying "Klart bakåt" which roughly translates into "clear back " indicating to the gunner that there are no obstructions behind the weapons backblast area allowing him to fire safely.

  • @NorthlandShooter ''Clear Backwards''*

  • Carl Gustav m48, Gives a whole new meaning to the term "Hand-cannon".

  • is this better than RPG-7?

  • @tricepsish It has much better range and is more versatile (more ammo types) so yes I'd say its better than the RPG-7

  • Req. in Swedish army is 6 hits in a minute!

  • cg noobs

  • @Araben13 The RPG-7 is of the same weapon class as the CG which is short range anti tank weapons

  • @Araben13 and the CG can fire the FFV551 which is rocket assisted

  • @Araben13 By this type of weapon i meant unguided anti tank launchers

  • @Araben13 /watch?v=dZnBzfhSmUU

  • impressive he didn't move an inch

  • Can't wait for the new CGm4

  • @olaalskardig i meant those gustav noob in bc2 lol

  • gustav noob

  • I miss the good old days when they actually used rocket propelled warheads in these weapons

  • @jeanlucncoelho You can get rocket assisted HEAT and training rounds for the Carl Gustav.

  • he should excersice in loading it by himself

  • @jackin15 rofl idiot... u ALWAYS have a loader and a shooter when using the m48 stupid fuck

  • @eskarn Than its shit

  • How many "Shots per Minute" are possible with a good trained/ well-re
