I like both but where I am from they hardly put out oil so I like the reign better but when I can use the reign of fire I like the way it reacts as well. Just sucks there is not enough oil around here to use it. Stays in the bag a lot

How much more agressive is the invasion compared to reign on light- medium oil conditions?

it may not be as strong as the reign because the invasion needs much more oil to get down the lane and have the proper reaction. It may just roll out and not finish. The invasion cover is much stronger. The reign is going to be much stronger because of the cover stock being less aggressive and also the cover stock surface is polish so it can get through the dry better.

I believe there is a way of doing but I do not know off hand. I can find out and let you know. I believe you would need a stop watch and then gotta do some math to figure but I will try to find out

hey! i was thinking of getting a reign soon, but i don't really know what layout is suitable... I currently have a Virtual Energy drilled 65* by 4" by 35* which my pro shop recommended and it rolls really well for me. My PAP is 5.5" and 7/16 up, i have a ball speed of about 18mph and a rev rate of 400. I want my reign to go longer den my Virtual Energy for shorter patterns, any recommendations? Any help would be appreciated! thx a lot! =)

Just wanted to get your opinion since we're both lefties. I track somewhat low on the ball, my PAP is 4 7/8 left and 3/4 up. I'm looking for something that will handle a THS that's 41' but not come in behind the headpin. I've found myself leaving more 7's lately. My speed is about 18.5 and rev rate of 390. What would you recommend? I currently have a Hyroad drilled 50x4.5x40 that's my benchmark ball.

It sounds like you would want a ball with more surface on it with it being a 41 foot pattern and your ball speed. I would say the reign of fire and you would want it to start up sooner so it just doesn't slide down the lane to far. 20x3x30 layout is probably what I would recommend for the ball. Let me know what you think

top weight doesn't really matter to me honestly. 2-3 pin is fine. If you get a longer pin then most likely your gonna need a weight hole towards the thumb which will give the ball more flare potential. My speed is about high 15 to mid 16s. Rev rate is somewhere at 480 to 500. The lane condition was a house which was more on the dry side especially for the reigns

Also, on the Reign of Fire, what pin and top weight should I request with that dual angle layout? I've never had anything close to that before. Obviously I don't need a 3-4" pin.

What pattern are you looking for the ball to be for? Also I would want your ball speed and what kind of reaction are you looking for?

Its just a house shot. The house shot at the time was really easy but now they have put more oil out there. Even on certain sport shots and other patterns the reign is still aggressive.

Yes it does. The Virtual Energy is more even with a little snap compared to the reign. The reign is really clean through the fronts of the lanes and middle then unloads in the backend.

Anyball hooks more than the other. The reign hooks more than the energy and the energy hooks more than the reign. It just depends how you have it drilled. My reign hooks less than my energy. I also have a Hy Road that hooks more than my reign.

Well thats the thing it has a lot of backend. Its a ball u would go to when the fronts and midlane are gone and u need a ball to get through all of that but still have backend. To me I dont call it a all around ball but it can work though for a medium condition ball. The nomad pearl wont have as much backend like the reign

Look at the last shot,, he missed it at the bottom throwing too little side rotation,, its not a bad shot but it shows it does have some forgiveness.

I would say more for medium, medium-heavy. If you don't have that much backend this ball can help get through all that traffic depending on the bowler

If its for a house shot you can do a basic leverage drilling pin next to the finger or for more oil you can do what I did and do a pin under layout
