be careful scattering. I almost burned down the Smokey Mountains doing that one time. Even cool to the touch the ashes started a forest fire. It took me an hour to get it out. Be careful with your fires!
Cleaning up after oneself is not taught,it should be common sence PERIOD!! Just think if the BAD GUYS,OR LE, was after you DONT LEAVE A TRACE that you were even there!!! I know that being clean isn't sexy these days or that its not a cool topic but remember the KISS rule and only then survive!! WE survivalist are few and far between WE must do what others DONT to stay on top of the game!! THEY just dont expect it!! Ive been at this a very long time 20+ yrs and has NEVER FAILED ME YET!! PERIOD!!!
Point proven!! It sounds like you KNOW about something that I dont!!!(FINALLY) Well as easy,as it is for you to make a comment like that I guess WE KNOW NOW what you do when you go camping!!You must be from BROKE BACK MOUNTAIN or something!!!LOL YOU ARE SO FUNNY!!!
Nice vid set, watched all three, VERY ETHICAL on how you clean up when you are done using the site area!!! People could learn from this action!! Back in Michigan U.S.A. people are just PIGS and dont care about anyone, or anything but themselves!! Thats why there is so many restrictions!! Vids well done! Thanks for posting!!
This collection of 3 vids on campcraft are a great education tool for the younger crafters to do the right thing in the right place.and Always ask when lighting fires.
Good vid series. Your wood store reminded me of what I used to do when I was your age. If a landowner gave me permission to camp and have campfires and as part of that let me harvest wood(naturally dead wood) I would take an axe, a bow saw and a splitting maul and do over a cord of wood and stack it neatly between two trees and cover it with a tarp. The land owner had a fireplace in his home and I would always take 3 or so cords of wood up to his place with my pickup and stack them for his use.
thank you very much. i dont take much wood, i mostly clean up after the foresters have been in and cleared areas. i only take an axe for camping and use my folding saw. So im helping out i also clear rubbish when walking about so i always carry a bin bag
In Michigan where I was there are severe storms in Summer. Brief though they may be in duration they are violent and result in many fallen trees and broken branches. So on several hundred acres of Woods there is a lot of wood to gleen. I liked the exercise as much as anything else. I wish I would have kept up working that hard for fun.
Good vid Mike. So, is it private land you are on? Im always curious how to go about fire nowadays as i cant blame anything on being a teenager now. there was a time when i would just go and light a fire any time i wanted, always carefully, i have always known to respect the land and to know that its for everyone to use. Its a shame that there have to be restrictions, but they are needed really arent they?
cool, i have watched loads of your videos and have learned a lot you have inspired me to do more bushcraft thank you

I think it's funny how you don't use "T''s. Like Wa'er, skah'er, instead of water and scatter. Great videos. I have learned a lot. Thank you.

It's nice to see you take the time to tidy the site when leaving. Unfortunately, your attitude seems to be becoming a minority!
