  • Anyone who searches the word "Prodigy" deserves such. lol Awesome video!

  • Not funny.

  • Annnd this is a prodigy hhhhoow, exactly? :-|

  • Next time learn to title your videos properly.......

  • she shouldnt be touching it! if a kid touches my harpsichord (when i get one) there gonna get an ass woopin these instruments are so rare you cant take the risk of a child breaking it because kids alwase ruin the fun!

  • a luser baby..

  • Very nice harpsichord :D

  • genius!

  • Some parent's shoot a video of their child playing an instrument and posts it on youtube. What's wrong with this? Even to make a 4 year old sit on and instrument isn't always an easy task to do. People are entitled to like or dis-like what they see. But i truly mean itøs disgusting to see some of the words used against a 4 year old in some of these posts. I seriously think that those comments shoudl be removed and not this video. The right to remove this video should be by the one who posted it.

  • @Ianthe22 A.video should be removed, or atleast to be fair renamed. B.those words are to idiot parents who tittled this video not the kid. Just like celebrities naming their kids dumbass names.

  • Just wait until you see what she plays on the piano.

  • Dis-like

Thats a minute and nine seconds plus buffering time of my life that I'll never get back from listening to a kid pound on a very historically and musically important instrument...

  • @CellistAdam Pounding? Do you have some issues because your parents didn't let you touch the instrument in your home when you were a child? If this instrument is that historically and musically important why do they put it out in an open showcase then? It certainly isn't ment not to be touched. The message in this video is certainly not to show how godly the childs skills are. How sad to get hyped up over something like this. Critizising a child, At least don't act like one doing it.

  • Kid ever touches my harpsichord: little fingers, snip. snip, snip!

  • Music is art and art cannot be destroyed like this!

  • well, she's cute :)

  • there are toy synths for that purpose...also if you think your precious child is a prodigy why dont you check out Emily Bear...

  • I would laugh if it didn't seem like the parents actually thought this was good music.

  • What's this?????

  • Stockhausen?

  • Prodigy?

  • por queeeee yo quisiera tener uno, y la niña nolo usa para nada

  • Comment removed

  • take this trash elsewhere

  • what fuck is that ?

the little girl doesn´t play shit

  • If this girl was asian, she'd actually be able to play something.

  • @MapleMan14 yeah, but only cause they practice 24/7

  • The title is the complete opposite of the video. Who in their mind would let a kid play around on that?

  • fortunately this is not a good instrument, so the damage is not all too big

  • Arrrrrrrggh... Bloody hell, who let that girl touch that Harpsichord?

  • This is so freaking terrible. Sounds just like my cat when he walks on my piano keyboard. I guess my cat is a prodigy as well.

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Why?

  • bullshit

  • Please remove your shame from our eyes.

  • We own a harpsichord and frankly, would never allow a child to beat on the keyboard like this. Why do over-indulgent parents always think that everyone ELSE will think an episode like this is "adorable"? It isn't. The owner of this instrument must have gritted their teeth when the video was recorded. I hope they now have this beautiful harpsichord protected under lock and key!

  • what a misleading video... the kid should get some lessons on playing

  • Was is written by PDQ Bach?

  • I suppose it's better that this kid be experiencing and fiddling around with an amazing classic instrument as opposed to 90% of the other children singing along to some shoddy manufacture pop band's dance routines!

All it takes is a spark of interest at this age and eventually she'll start learning to play properly! While it sounds bad now, let's be grateful that the kid is at least interested. We need to encourage more kids like this in the new generations!

  • @yggdrasil89 *Make that DANCING along to routines haha

  • @yggdrasil89 she's four...four year olds are interested in anything that makes sounds when you mess with it. I agree with you on the kids listening to crappy pop but this girls is probably not interested, just amused.

  • @zomgitszac Well while that's probably likely, the more she messes about and the older she gets - that spark of enthusiasm may develop into something more than just messing about.

  • @yggdrasil89 let's hope so. I lose hope in music artists these days. We need some actual talent on this planet.

  • menuda forma de insultar al instrumento...

  • Where can i buy her album?

  • I must admit that some contemporary composers write songs exactly like that.

  • Very true

  • LOL she turns pages

  • ....can i buy this music?

  • Nice instrument. I wish I have one,,

  • She's as talented as my cat when he walks across the keyboard on my piano. What a waste of instrument.

  • Cute!

  • I wanna adopt her, is she for sale? =)

Very cute and I hope she find the love for the instrument and start playing all the wonderful music out there.

  • hahaha, she is so cute!!

  • Dude, that thing on the piano is creepin me out. And i have to approve of this. This is how i started playing the Piano. Once you hear the sounds. Boom

  • Cool story bro

  • needs some training, but who knows... maybe she'll we a prodigy one day!

  • People take this way too seriously. I think this adorable. Children should have access to these period instruments. Shes not doing it any damage for goodness sake !

  • why did you uploaded this video. Teach her and show us.

  • Why her mother didn't teach her how to play a Harpsichord????? Her Mother just Video her Childist..

  • How outrageous to let a 4 year old play this otherwise beautiful/artistic instrument with so much history. Shame. Shame.*

    *This is just a joke.

  • you are outrageous!

this girl is a real prodigy.

a 4 year old? playing a keyboard this way?

I would give her any kind of instrument to play.

    piano, harpsichord, or clavier...

    she's so cute also!!!

  • Hello... did you not see the asterisk in my comment noting that it was a mere joke?

  • That was a creepy laugh...

  • haha, cute! :))

  • just like I play when I have to read the dots!

  • great job!

  • Blonde girls, alwayss the sameeeee... lost a minute of my lifeeeee

  • why is this child allowed to even touch the harpsichord, it's not a toy. it's a work of art and piece of historical musical life that is being abused by a kid.

  • Jesus, calm down. It's not like she's playing with a god damn gun.

  • @VSophiaV Agree!

  • @VSophiaV stfu its just an object shes a human being she has more value than a piece of stupid wooden box god sophia! i bet you dont even know what your name means! and yes u like vaginas as represented by "V" - FAG

  • Comment removed

  • @VSophiaV Well, isn't it important for children to experiment on musical instruments? This exposure could be the start of a wonderful life of music and success. That's just my opinion though.

  • @sireofzelda To right! You cannot expect a child to be that good in that space of time, it's a rare occasion it does happen!

Isnt that how all others started off? Beethoven was not naturally good etc. And they did'nt have keyboards back then to practice on, so leave the poor girl alone!

  • @VSophiaV She's having fun. Seems to be reason enough to let her touch the "oh so holy harpsichord".

  • @VSophiaV Have a heart, she just a kid, adn kids play. she has no knowledge of 16th centuary music so give her a break you old fag

  • @TheBilbolseiro and why do you say that?

  • @VSophiaV It looks like she's being pretty gentle with it actually.

  • @VSophiaV Fuck you.

  • @VSophiaV Fuck you.

  • @VSophiaV Fuck you.

  • @VSophiaV While I appreciate your passion about this instrument that produced wonderful works of music, I believe you are being too hasty in considering that music-making on the harpsichord must be serious. It is certainly not a "toy" in the usual sense, but to the performer that enjoys playing his instrument, it might as well be, that even includes messing around on the keys as the little girl was doing.

  • @VSophiaV Also, the amount of force this child was using on the harpsichord couldn't be more than what a performer who plays continuously for hours on end. P.S. Say what you will in response, but I probably won't care.

  • @VSophiaV Are you serious? hyped up about a kid playing an instrument? Mozart didn't touch the piano be4 he was 46? Get a grip man and all those thumbs up make me sick ... Soo sad if all our future musicians were removed, because it was a sin to touch the harpsichord if one weren't of age... kindda pathetic.

  • Tone deaf little ho.

  • cuteee :)

  • The prodigy is sitting next to the music rack.

  • BLASPHEMY!

  • Hehehe, that look at 0:05 is like "yeah, I KNOW what I'm doing to your harpsichord, what of it?"

  • your little slut child sucks at harpsichord. it makes me sick to see a little bastard abusing such a great instrument

  • You don't understand that it's a JOKE?

    ¬¬ Idiot...

  • This is not a joke but a real bullshit! Youtube can be used for something else !

  • ok, i know she sucks, but she isnt trying to play it, its just for fun, besides, calling a little 4 year old a slut, is just sick

  • personally, i think the child has promise, but seeing her do that to the instrument is making me sick. i would kill to have a harpsichord in my house, and it hurts to see one abused like that

  • at least she's not thumping her fists onto the keyboard, some annoying brats her age would do that. Somebody has obviously taught her some very simple techniques and to use her fingertips.

  • Can you please not put misleading titles. It's very annoying. Your kid is cute tho. God bless.

  • cute...put the kitty kat on the harpsichord now and let it play too!

  • Woah, I can't even play the piano but I'd love to have a harpsichord! My mum's a great player, it's sound great if she could play a harpsichord rather than piano to accompany my baroque violin sonatas

  • Poor girl! She must be ashamed with this STUPID video!!!

  • Wow.I think somebody to grow up with a harpsichord in thier home is very lucky :)

  • I gre up living in a museum full of the things. when we moved out my dad boug a harpsichord so I still lived with one for many many years.

  • i resent AMJAKER's comment. people have the right to express their (ideally well articulated) opinions. and in response to the "low-culture, nouveau-riche idiots" sign off, i previously commented unfavourably on this video, and i'm studying for a Fine Art MA and had an audition for Julliard when i was 14. so, i guess that probably nullifies that myopic little addendum. (accidentally posted this on the wrong account the first time)

  • lighten up.

  • Ah, "Julliard" when 14? Well I don't know how old you are, but for whatever years you haven't learned how to even spell the name of the school right. JUILLIARD not JULLIARD.

We don't care where you applied, stop critisizing others before looking at yourself.

  • ouch, one word spelled incorrectly! how ever will I recover from the shame resultant from my inability to placate pedantic morons like yourself?!

I'm sure I'll learn to cope.

  • Wow look at you, and you're supposed to be granduated from Juilliard...

  • Think you've kinda drifted from the point here. Perhaps check your own spelling too, champ.

  • she is soooooo cute!:)bach would be proud. And to all of you commoners who can't imagine a little girl having an interest in such a rare instrument, leave her alone and lighten up a little, life's too short

  • Teach her chopsticks

  • Another thing: my father, aunt, and uncle were professional musicians (violin, violin, and piano), and my great-grandfather played violin. This little girl is obviously imitating other musicians in her family (who play the instrument and turn the pages). Those of us who were raised around music have a deep love for it because it's our tradition, and likewise it brings us great joy to see our children want to carry on this tradition. You people are a bunch of low-culture nouveau-riche idiots.

  • I'm really shocked people can write things this mean about a little girl, even if it is just a joke. Actually when I was 3 or 4 years old I started just like that, just tinkering on my grandma's piano, then I went on to take piano lessons for about 10 years, played Mozart sonatas and Bach fugues, and now I play the harpsichord. Children need to be allowed to explore.

  • That is not respectful for an instrument that may had been play by a composer.

  • This is called fun. Thats what kids do: have fun. Lighten up.

  • Do You really and seriously think, that she is harming the instrument with that "playing", I don't. On the other hand, I understand Your feelings. There must be a whole bunch of viewers, who would die to own such a beautiful instrumet. Watching a toddler using it as a toy is nerve-wrecking. Nevertheless, I hope this experience will help this cute little prodigy to aim towards serious career in music, professional or otherwise.

  • I thought it was cute. Obviously free jazz, following in the footstep of Captain Beefheart

  • hahhaa Zappa rocks!

  • nice video cute girl

  • Ok ok enough guys...she appears to be reading the piece 'verbatim' (note the page turning and the attention to the composers directives); is it not possible that this is a Webern piece in a 12-tone key with poly-rhythms galore? Perhaps it is we, the listeners (and viewers) who are not sophisticated enough to enjoy this atonal piece of brilliance?

Anyhow, just offering a shred of hope that this little girl may indeed be a prodigy?!??

  • How the hell can you write something like that for someones child!? You ARE the scum around here!

  • @uggycom Just calm down.. Its all good... That could be one of the newest composer on our streets... I just think that's a bit overboard calling her a talentless slut.....

  • That's a nice looking harpsichord. What is its range and what are its registers? Regardless, if she will sit down and mimic a general performance then she's that much closer to learning to play individual notes. I hope her interest in the keyboard holds--especially if she is fortunate enough to have this particular instrument at her disposal as the world today needs all the harpsichordists it can get!

  • yet another pointless youtube video of an over zelous and overjoyed parent watching thier completely talentless child play on and possibly damage an otherwise valuable instrument. what a wast of tape, time AND EARDRUMS!

  • wtf, wat a waste of time. this aint wat i searched for. I want a refund of my time :(

  • yeah a refund of 12 seconds.

  • H O R R I P I L A N T !!!!!

  • She is completely talentless in this area. This comment states the obvious, doesn't it?

  • At least she is willing. She is playing something now?

  • What a genius

  • That's how I play harpsichord. :)

  • waw, that's almost jazz :)

  • I want my 10 seconds back I used watching this....

  • and the other ten you wasted writing the comment?

  • lol. wasting time..

  • harpsichords are difficult enough to procure and maintain without letting kids who clearly don't play loose on them. obviously the kid is too young to know know any better, but the owners of the instrument should have had more sense. it makes me a little angry, to be honest.

  • Hold it, she is sight reading a little known Prelude by O. Messiaen, I think it is called "Drops of paint on my musical canvas" or something like that...

    ;-)

  • Bravo! Keep up the good work!

    Very suave page turning.

  • Hey, she's good. Maybe she will became greater than all of you, so shut up idiots and leave my cousin in peace.

  • Beautiful playing.

     I love the harpsichord..

  • What you have in front of you is an INSTRUMENT, not a toy!...Get back to your Casio, little girl!

  • Hasn't she got any teacher who can teach her to play in tune? Please!!!

Just kiddding, anyway, it's great that she's been raised close to such a nice instrument.

  • bach would be jealous

  • Yes...

  • Hey, she beats Michael Bolton.

  • Lucky that she has access to such a great instrument! :-)

  • No kidding. God forbid it stops here.

  • She needs to kill herself

  • that was unkind

  • vay veledizina :) birak o klavseni :D yazik oluyor

  • ...

  • If you close your eyes, it sounds like the cat got on top of the piano (harpsichord)!!

    HA!

  • very contemporary!

  • ...well, my little niece even does hand-crossing!!!! In any case, brava!
